Forgive any audio snafus, I got a new mic (thanks to lovely viewer support from my Patreon!) and I'm still messing with it. On the plus side, it is now far easier to record and edit my audio (my p's and s's should no longer sound like gunshots). I did have some issues getting this video up as well due to weird video copyright issues, but I think it is fixed. If it goes down again, it'll be back up eventually.
I think the audio in this one is fine, personally. Speaking of which, I'm curious if you'd take a request for a video. I'd love to see a video about Kevin MacLeod and how his stock music in particular was all over RUclips and still is. You did a video about 009 Sound System but I'd love to see a video on Kevin MacLeod, who's got multiple songs that are iconic to RUclips.
I must say I am greatly astounded with how you seemingly keep making the perfect videos for me. I absolutely love Zager & Evans, and never expected a video essay on them. This and the video you did on the artist of Blue Oyster Cult's albums has blown me away. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for this, I somehow never heard of them before. Something about the 2nd album reminds me of Sparks if Sparks were hippies and had a funk phase. The commitment to loud children playing sounds throughout the entirety of “Plastic Park” 150% makes up for the embarrassingly on the nose hippie political lyrics. Overall the sound design, production, and about half of the song’s lyrics are so bonkers that I’m pretty sure I love them now.
By the way, Pseudiom, have you been following Blue Oyster Cult and Albert Bouchard? BOC released some songs months ago and Bouchard has posted new versions of Imaginos tracks. I have just corne across them.
Yes! I will probably talk about that in the next few months. Both are very good, in my opinion. REeimaginos is very interesting. Albert Bouchard's been saying he's probably going to do "Bombs Over Germany" in some form. So I'm waiting to see what comes of that before I say anything definitive.
Gotta be honest with you, Pseudiom. People have created so many dystopias, look what good did it. It was a self fulfilling prophecy. It's time to create utupias. Man needs to once and for all, lost his fear to be happy.
When I first heard 2525, I was... 8 or 9? Super deep into fundamentalist evangelical Christianity, and the only music I was allowed to her were 60s and 50s tunes, or smooth jazz, or church music. The song pierced the veil. I saw vision of the future devoid of revelation, no judgment, only us, as humans, for another thousands of years where there was no second coming. At that point the realization that I was in a death cult with extra steps became obvious, and I had to leave. There is nothing that will save humanity, except itself. It was us all along, and it will be us in the end. We write the music. We are the song.
After bell'ing nearly most of my subscribed channels, I must have missed this upload in the fury of other uploads. (Thanks youtube.) I think "charming" is a fitting description for the song. It's great but not something I wanted to return to. I never knew their backstory. That's cool. Anyway, I decided to join Patreon, so I will be actually be notified when you upload. :P Thanks for all the hard work boss.

However I will disagree that 2525 is "not great" that songs a damn masterpiece.
"We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives."
-The Amazing Criswell.
The most enduring glory this song got was being mentioned in season 8 of Mystery Science Theater 3000 as the temporal in show location.
Ive liked this song for a long while. cool to hear its story.
Love your work

Mr Turnkey unironically slaps tho.
I've always thought 2525 was a great tune, and I still do!

I liked them too, specially Florida Man.
I honestly really like the song I didn't know people hated it.
Great job! Keep on keeping on.

Good thing I will be taking about a musical utopia (sort of) in a few weeks! So hopefully that'll be the first step.
Hmm, intrigued. Eagerly awaiting.
Idk why their other songs aren’t famous. I am and the house on summerstreet are at least about as good as 2525 if not better
Per chance met youngsters of aserbadjan - 7 young teenaged boys - without aby fear...
It was only a few years ago that I discovered Filk, and god do I love it! These guys tho.. meh.
They aren't a 1 hit wonder, they're a 2,525 hit wonder
lets hope 2525 is not mankinds swan song
@3:22 "The Deville's" is pronounced "The Deviyes" y being silent
Always hated this song, makes me too depressed
It's not a good song.
I'll be honest, I still don't get why it was so popular.
People have an enduring superstition depressing means good.
@@Pseudiom hard it on the radio in 2013, just got sad.
Non of there songs sound good to me
Last
I finally understand Pretty Good Looking (For A Girl)'s reference.

I love the fact that you made a video about this song. It's a good tune. Truly a man of culture. Have a good and safe holiday.
God I wish their third album was on spotify
Really interesting, I love your videos about music!
Although, a note for the patrons' list, it's Sieur Fitz, not Sieur Fritz~
Talk about tearing two people apart...man your totally over the top
