This build is exactly what I’m planning as a redo to my current one. I truly appreciate running across this video and will be binge watching the playlist lol.
Great job on the update. One of the things I like about you and your channel is you keep it honest and real. You talk about the troubles or mistakes you have and you work through them with us watching and learning too. The channel has a little bit of everything. Anyone can find something they like or relate to. I have enjoyed the journey of watching this channel grow and I look forward to the future videos. Thank you BBFDMV!!! Tight Lines!!!
This is like the DREAM jon boat lmao! You got no idea how good you did on this thing man! I just got my first jon boat now, an older 12 Ft double wide and I plan on using your videos to turn mine into a nice bass boat, glad you got these out! Awesome job man
I had literally just finished watching the whole build the other day. I really appreciate how well documented your build is. 100% considering building a 1448 now. Thanks again for sharing.
Great job on the boat! I like the ideas you have. I had a similar experience with my first build, where I learned what worked and didn’t work on it. Now with my second build I know exactly what to do. I like your hatches. I’m going to watch the videos on how you make those.
Just wanted to say thank you for all of the great detailed videos. Getting ready to start a build myself and these videos have helped a ton!!!! Very good work man!! All of the questions I had are all answered throughout your build videos, can’t thank you enough!!!!
Still the baddest jon boat to bass boat I've ever seen. After two years it's holding up like a champ. Amazing job, looking forward to watching how you secure that back deck up better.
Love this channel! I watched the entire build series and happy to have an update. When you were describing securing your stripped out deck, I thought "rivet nuts" then you said it. Keep up the great work!
That was great! Thanks for sharing what you've learned from experience with YOUR build. Who better to know exactly what worked and what to do different! Going to pickup a 1236 tomorrow and I'm looking forward to incorporating many of your improved improvements!
Thank you for this one! Great design! We use those aluminum rivnuts on our aircraft at work. They do very well! Just have to add grease to each bolt going into them so they don’t corrode. Otherwise they will tear them out when removing later on. We fly around loads of salt (coast guard).
Great video Sir. I'm finally working on mine! Even used the box you sent me with my boat care products for a template. Thanks again for the videos and my boat care products.
Nice video! When I use my trolling motor I leave my 9.9hp motor locked in a straight position in the water and it acts like a rudder. I have my trolling motor slightly off to one side and not centered and when I do not have the big motor down I have a hard time driving in a stright line.
Hey Man, I really enjoyed your jon boat build journey. Not gonna lie, I drifted from the channel after it was done. This video popped up and reminded me how much I liked your channel and videos. Glad you are doing well. Turning on notifications 👍
Bro,that's hard to believe that's your first build...thats REALLY NICE AND GREAT WORK YOU DID. How long was the build? As I mentioned to you before I just finished with my build(very first build)not a nice build as yours but I think I did a pretty good job for it to be a pelican intruder 12.i was lost when starting the build, took me a week to get the nerve to start. I wish I could talk to you more and talk to you other than on RUclips,as I said I don't do the social media thing. Fan of your work from Greensboro N.C.
I have the same boat except it's the 1448 MT. I wish I could do exactly the same thing you did to yours. It looks so clean, you did a great job. How much extra weight did it add and how much $ did it cost?
Been watching some of your vids recently and I have an Alumacraft 1442 that I am looking to do some modifications to. I was thinking about extending the front deck to the first seat, basically how you did yours, but I was curious if it matters to raise the platform up? Do you think it would be ok to create a platform out of aluminum and keep it at the same level of both the platform and bench. Then just covering the bench, platform, and platform extension with an adhesive deck material. I wanted to see if you had any opinions on this. Also if it matters, I use it strictly in salt water.
I would defintely use aluminum for salt water. Raising it up helps to provide balance while standing on your deck. Of course it's all personal preference but I would recommend adjusting your casting deck so that it's level from front to back.

Go for it!!!
It's when you can learn from your mistakes that is the key. I'm always learning lol. Real nice set up
Thanks Frank. Totally agree 👍🏾
This whole series and the follow-up has been really great. Nice work and thanks very much for sharing.
👌🏾👍🏽🤙🏾

No problem. 👊🏾👍🏾🤙🏾
Thank you for all the great videos. You got me started on my boat. I’m following your videos.
Awesome. Good luck and enjoy the process.

Thanks man. Video coming soon. Stay tuned.
Time flies. It’s hard to believe it’s been 2 years. It still looks great!👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks.

Yea buddy. Thanks for the feedback. Rivet nuts is definitely what I'll be doing to secure the deck down this time.
Great boat wish I had one
Getting a lot of ideas from your videos. Have to say thanks man. About ready to start my first.
Very very very nice boat my man
That was great! Thanks for sharing what you've learned from experience with YOUR build. Who better to know exactly what worked and what to do different! Going to pickup a 1236 tomorrow and I'm looking forward to incorporating many of your improved improvements!

You the man brother love you videos you keep it real for sure. Thanks and God bless ya brother
Thanks. God bless you as well!!!

Thanks for the info. This is exactly the feedback I was asking for.
Awesome video as always thanks for the update and stay safe 👍🎣🎣👍
Yessirrr
Hey Man, I really enjoyed your jon boat build journey. Not gonna lie, I drifted from the channel after it was done. This video popped up and reminded me how much I liked your channel and videos. Glad you are doing well.

Still looks clean!
Yea man thanks. 👍🏾🤙🏾
Dude, beautiful boat.
Thank you!!!
Love your videos!
Thanks
I'm getting a boat done at Reservoir Boat Works, I hope it comes out as nice as yours is.
I do custom boats for people as well. Let me know if you end up not using them.
Good work on the build, i like it a lot...
Thanks
I wish I would have known, it's costing me a fortune but I hear they do good work? Save a few fish for me at Rocky Gorge!
Will do man. 👍🏾🤙🏾
Great video idea...I might bite it lol! 🔥 build
Lol. Go for it man.
Great build buddy!
Thanks.
You could make the rear deck removable with pop rivet female threaded inserts
I think that's what I was trying to remember but couldn't.
great as always brother
Thanks man
So what do you think a good center to center spacing would be for the reel end of your rods holders?
Love your videos Bro.
The only thing I would change is the name of you channel to CRAPPIE BROTHERS FISHING!
LOL!
Just kidding.
KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING!
Lol thanks 🤙🏾👍🏾
Rona's a cool rig! Dude there's another boat in the background?!
Ha ha. You saw that lol. Next project coming soon.
Do you have a link for the hatches you used on this boat
Great video ! What’s the biggest rod you can fit in your locker? Thanks !
The longest rod I've put in there is 7' 3"
what thickness of aluminum did you use for the top layer to stand on?
Great Work , Quick release Trolling motor mount And Stainless steel t-nuts worked for me
Awesome
Nice build
👍🏾👊🏾
Would you like to test boat cover ?
Bro,that's hard to believe that's your first build...thats REALLY NICE AND GREAT WORK YOU DID.
How long was the build?
As I mentioned to you before I just finished with my build(very first build)not a nice build as yours but I think I did a pretty good job for it to be a pelican intruder 12.i was lost when starting the build, took me a week to get the nerve to start.

Fan of your work from Greensboro N.C.
Thanks. He build took about 5 months to finish. Glad you got yours done.
Have you tried 1/16 on a fourteen footer yet?
Very good video.
Thanks 🤙🏾👊🏾
I have the same boat except it's the 1448 MT. I wish I could do exactly the same thing you did to yours. It looks so clean, you did a great job. How much extra weight did it add and how much $ did it cost?
Not sure about the weight. I didn't really keep track of the cost at the time but materials to do a build like this can easily cost $3k to $4k
Turning the live well into storage did you permanently seal off the gravity hole or just leave it plugged?
I just left it plunged. At some point I will probably seal it up permanently.
Been watching some of your vids recently and I have an Alumacraft 1442 that I am looking to do some modifications to. How do you edit your videos
I use an editing software.
@@BassBrothersFishingDMV is it free
Building a 14/36 and I’m already $16k in and haven’t did anything yet lol
Lol. It can become a money pit faster than we think. Now go build something great.
What size boat it that
14 footer. 1448
This a 14fter ?
@@trevorharmer4813 yes
Seems like it would be easier to sell that boat and buy a new one a make it the way you want.
Nah. I love this boat just the way it is. This vid is all about things I could change or what I might do differently next time if I wanted to.
Your front running lights are NOT legal! They must also be visible on the beam (look it up)! Drill out the rear screw holes for threaded inserts.
