- It’s that time of year where the doll aisle gets refreshed with a whole new assortment of dolls, and the LOL Tweens don’t seem to be slowing down!
I have two of the new Lol Tweens Mermaids! dolls, Serena Finn and Lana Marine, both of which retail for $15.
These are budget dolls so they do have less articulation and simplified fashions, but for mermaid dolls I’m not too upset about it.
I also picked up three of the new LOL Mermaids Baby Sisters and I’m obsessed with these!
I don’t love the tots, so I was skeptical with the baby sister versions but the sheer tininess of these toys makes them so cute and such great companions for their tweens counterparts.
The mermaid vibes are in full swing this summer and I am here for it :)

The accessories that come with the little sisters can fit them and be shared with the tots too. Even the shoes, they have little sculpted feet for the lil sisters to fit into. Love this entire collection, including the tots. Wish we had a OMG set to match the rest of the collection.

Really off topic but when you talked about the Winnie the Pooh mini figures, you just unlocked so many memories. I loved my little guy and he was dressed up as a bee! We need those to come back asap
I only want Serena. I plan to do a head swap with a Darcy Blush I got for like $8.00 at Target, not sure if she'll be a match though. I remember those little Winnie the Pooh figures lol. I still have a couple of them stored away in their little capsule balls. Have a great day Draculijah.💚

it feels like you get more with the baby sisters even though they’re smaller … very cute! i don’t collect many minis but i might pick one up if i see ‘em when i’m out. the tween mermaids aren’t for me but i appreciate you showing us what they’re about! also appreciate that even though you said you’re disappointed with them and you were very honest about the negative points, you still had positive things to say about them. i’d definitely prefer to spend $20 on a standard tween but budget dolls have their place and it’s refreshing to see a review that doesn’t trash budget dolls just because they’re budget dolls, you know? i see a lot of that lately. 😑 it’s unfortunate.
These dolls are beyond cute! I suspect the quality control issues have something to do with doll-flation where you're spending a bit more for a lot less. Where did youy get those stands? So here is a tip, Lil sea mist has a big sis (not the omg ones) it’s on the normal lol surprise mermaid surprise, Her name is miss sea and she is an ultra rare, A tip to get her is that if you find the full case at a store then get the last one on the bottom row, I got the last one at the bottom row and I got her, She has an omg sis named Pearla which I also have, She is released at stores, She should have a big skirt, So I hope that helped!

oh my god I used to collect those winnie the pooh keychains, I had a ton of them I loved their rubber costumes and I completely forgot about them until you mentined them! : O
I love mermaid and I love tweens, os I really wanted to love these. I just feel meh about them though...so I'm disappointed.
I felt that way too! I did wash their hair and that’s making me like them a little bit more but I think if these were $20 and had a tad bit higher quality they would be perfect!
I agree that the price of the tweens is a bit much, they should have come with a base and at least bendable elbows, also I get the color change feature working in cold water is probably for safety reasons, but they could've made it work in warm water for bathtub play, if MGA is trying to attract children to these dolls, they should work in bathtub water.

So random but I randomly saw a short yesterday where someone bought those Winnie the Pooh keychains 😭 they were so cute, they specifically opened one of the zodiac ones too
They are so precious!! And that rubbery costume was the best texture ever, glad I’m not alone in remembering them

@Draculijah OH GREAT. Thanks, Cause that will be perfect for me when I do a little "Beheading" project. As soon as I have the money and find the tweens that match the mermaids in the line skin tones.
I'd pass on theses, but at least you enjoyed your time with them that's what matters.
