Me and my buddy have met y’all in a wma up here in zone C the last couple years and it’s always been a pleasant experience talking to y’all. I had this exact same thing happen on a buck hot on a doe but for some reason hung up about 10 yards be hind her and i forgot to adjust my pin and right under his arm pit went the arrow and he was gone. So I know the feeling but I know you hunt hard and will have another shot. Stay safe this season
Sometimes it be like that. “Nothing is more expensive than regret”. We all try and make perfect shots every hunt, but if anyone who bow hunts tells you they ain’t never made a bad shot, they’re either a liar or haven’t hunted very long. Keep up the videos, better days ahead.

No more rangefinding. No more unnecessary movement.
Draw when the shot presents itself, range, aim, shoot.
It's unbeatable. I highly recommend.

Yea I know. I’ve thought about it but I’ve also heard of those thing failing and not ranging right in the moment. I also try to go out of state a few times a year n a lot of states don’t allow them. -Mark

Practice shooting from your treestand, at a 3D target… 40 is no chip shot!… have your buddy keep moving it a little and see if you can adjust without ranging it again.👌

That are just shy of 500 grains.
@@SwampNStomp seems like a happy medium weight. I guess the only downside to heavy arrows is less forgiveness in situations like that. At least you shot where you were aiming though, I would have sent it a foot over his back just because I was so nervous 😂

We like to get to about 30ft. I was at 27ft in this video. Nothing conceals movement and scent better than being a mile High. The safest way to climb is SRT. Staying on a loaded rope from bottom to top. We will also one stick, but it’s definitely Not the safest climbing method. -Mark
That’s what I like to get in my climber. But I’ve got a buddy hunting with me this year so I bought a saddle and I’ve made my own aider and I’m topping out at about 24 feet. It’s amazing what just a few feet difference makes. I’m not one of the guys that is fine at 20 feet unless that’s the only tree in the area and that’s all I can do. I like swaying when the breeze blows lol happy hunting brother we’re about to order some of yalls camo as well. Love what you’re doing man

Should have aimed low not mid body shoot the heart most of time they dip and roll so if you shoot heart if they dip it's high shoulder
Hindsight is 20:20. But I wouldn’t aim low. Of all the deer I’ve shot, only one duck the string and it was a doe at 15 yds staring em right at me. My bow is surprisingly quiet and deer just don’t seem to react to it… it’s weird. Watch that slow motion replay… that deer had a lot of time to reacted and it didn’t move until The arrow hit behind it. I’d rather aim center mass and avoid bone than accidentally hit a hit low and drill him in the humerus. Thanks for watching -Mark
You can't shoot 'em from the couch,and if you aren't missing, you aren't shooting enough. It's called "hunting" for a reason. Everyone misses,it's part of life. Shake it off and pull thru the next shot with more conviction. NEXT...
If you’re not making mistakes, you’re not hunting. Get a Leupold range finder. Give up the coin. It will make a big difference. Shit happens and that’s how we learn. If you killed them every time, it wouldn’t be hunting, it would be killing.
That shot was terrible, MAKE that deer stop. Would have been a gut shot either way if you got the distance right. No harm no foul learn for next time, which it looks like you have.
Clearly you didn’t watch the whole video cause I mention that in the video. But hey liver and gut shot deer still die and I find them so I would have taken the liver hit. Not ideal but I’ll take it. Thanks for watching. Don’t ever stop being perfect! -Mark

The end, and I’ve made bad shots too. I like how you evaluated it at the end to see what you did wrong. (Sorry if it came off a bit harsh) That wouldn’t have been liver however. (I own a tracking dog and go on hundreds of recoveries a year) Check our ranch fairy if you haven’t and the vital v. Good luck this year and get back after them!
