Oh, Chunk. You were how it all got started. Farmer Jeff's quest to the culprit. Now he supplies tables and decorations in addition to loads of food. Such fun. 🍎

I will never forget how Original Chunk stared into the camera while he ate. He gave us so many fantastic close ups. He gave us foamy mouth shots and plenty of chewing noises. Sometimes he would stop eating and just stare into space while he contemplated the meaning of life. His descendants are fun to watch but Original Chunk knew how to work the camera and give us all kinds of close ups.
What happened to Chunk, please let me know.

@@micheledonahoe8092 He appears a couple times of videos earlier in the year. In one of them he is trying to snooze in the shade outside the main burrow but what must be his grandchildren (or even great-grandchildren!) are crawling around all over him. He gives up trying to snooze and stomps off underground! The other video is a lot of fun, he demolished one of the bird houses to get at the seeds inside. Groundhogs live around 5 years if they can avoid predators and can get good quality food. In captivity they can live to around 12 years old. OG Chunk has to be at least 5 years old. But given the wonderful sanctuary that Gardener Jeff has made and all the prime food he provides for the Chunk Family, if we are lucky then OG Chunk may be around another couple of years or more. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
