Reminder that Dr Seuss encouraged America to get involved in WW2 even before Pearl Harbor. Of course, he had no intention of fighting in said war, he sat in an air-conditioned room drawing cartoons the whole time, but he was happy to tell other people to send their sons to die in a war he supported getting into, and never had any interest actually fighting in.
I'm surprised no one mentions Seuss's other postwar work: "Hitler Lives". It was a film directed at everyone pointing out that Nazi-ism isn't truly defeated until it's ideals are fully rooted out. It was aimed primarily at Americans and I think we could all use a good watching of it.
