Thanks for the review Tom! I honestly thought our little wallet game would never make its way to you, glad to see one of them did. Happy trails my friend :)
Tom, you should try Sprawlopolis next (if you haven't)! Similar to Circle the Wagons, except it's cooperative city building. I love Sprawlopolis, excellent solo, too.
Tom, I'm so glad you decided to cover this. Circle The Wagons does just what it sets out to do... it gives you a quick but tasty game that you can put in your pocket and pull out to play almost anywhere. I have picked up quite a few games in the Button Shy lineup due to their size and price. Of those, I really like Sprawlopolis (which is similar to CTW but doing city building with a couple extra wrinkles ), HeroTec (build your superhero's lair), Antimony (a duel between wizards), The Perfect Moment (a time travel caper with sneaky card combos), and Supertall (a game about building skyscrapers.) I hope you have the chance to play other selections from their catalog down the road.
I’ve been a big fan of Button Shy Gamed for a while now, and I have a bunch of them. You should also try Sprawlopolis, cooperative city-building game), Mint Julep (a racing game), and Antinomy, which is new this year and might be my favorite of the bunch. I also received Handsome recently, which is an interesting and unique word game.
The circle of cards is great in terms of visibility but you could also make do with a draw pile that the active player looks through and picks from. You can also make a draw pile that can’t be looked through for a push your luck variant.
You discovered Button Shy Games! Thanks for the review of this game - I was wondering whether this game was any good since I was just thinking about it. It is one of the more interesting games on their website (to me). I discovered Button Shy Games after seeing Tussie Mussie, an “I cut, you choose” type of game by designer Elizabeth Hargrave, who also designed Wingspan, on Kickstarter - which funded 3 weeks ago.
So cool to see this reviewed. I have the Rethemed X-Files circle of Truth pretty much the same game except for a Mulder & Scully Cards that give The the ability to use one symbol as a wild card. My wife and I have played this 8-10 times now and I am impressed on how much thinking can go into a small game.
Checked out button shy games. Circle the wagons is backordered. They have a preorder for a new Elizabeth Hargrave game. several other games look awesome. Now I am expecting some small sized packages in the mail over the next few months. Thanks!
It's a fun little game, true. It can also be found at pnparcade (dot) com for $3 if you want to make your own cards, as well as an expansion for $1 that let you play solo.
This is the perfect IFB game. You’re going out door to door soul winning. You need a quick break. Two player game - ✅ Plays fast so you can get back to door knocking - ✅ It’s about the Old Times - ✅ Wallet game has room for extra tracks that were overflowing from your short pocket - ✅
I am in Peru and I have order button shy games via their webpage or their KS campaings (in every campaign they allow you to add up to 2 older wallet games to your order without being charged more for shipping). The shipping costs to south america are ok on their webpage but are really good on KS. You should check it up.

It's the button shy game I like most and the expansions are pretty good.
With the exception of the skip drafting mechanism, Sprawlopolis is a solo or co-op version to Wagon’s competitive play. Both are great!
Thrilled to see Tom review a Button Shy game!

Glad to see you reviewing some Button Shy games! They are great for print and play. Definitely check out Sprawlopolis
would love a review of sprawlopolis
FYI - you can play this for free against a bot on the Happy Meeple website, it works great. Fun little game.
Awesome - thanks for telling us!

Our favorite Button Shy game is Stew. It is so dead simple and quick. We also enjoy Liberation, Sprawlopolis, and The Perfect Moment.

Tom, this one deserves an "excellent, into my collection!"

I wonder if you could buy two copies and play with three or four people.

Circle the Wagons is a really nice little game. I play it solo and enjoy it a lot.
do you happen to know if the new solo expansion requires the first solo expansion?
Circle the Wagons is the only button shy game I've played -- I backed it at the PNP level. Great fun, I should grab it out again sometime!

Can't wait for these little games to come to the UK properly, i really can't justify the shipping costs for me even if I buy a few pocket games.

You know I'm one of the few people who understands this comment, right? :)
Love Button Shy! Try Liberation
This actually looks like a really fun game with the smallest footprint I've ever seen! Very cool!
"...unless you have an empty middle seat and well that's an amazing day anyway...." I laughed pretty hard at that.
Getting this one! Thanks for the review
I love the X-Files version.
I much prefer the Wild West theme; all the bonus rules make sense and the graphics are very cute.
@@conillet xfiles did a good job of putting in objective that had theme
I would love to see a review of Sprawlopolis too.
Pretty slick little game, I like it

This is the weirdest darkthrone cover I've ever seen
