Loved hearing from you! Loved just spending time with family this Christmas and not having to be anywhere! We're from Indiana..Hendricks County..close to Indianapolis! Thinking of you and your family as you move and find a new home! I've loved your frugal content, recipes, and homeschooling help!
Highlight of 2024- my husband with Parkinson dementia enjoyed Christmas. H has been at a point for nearly a year that he shows no emotion. It is hard to watch. Christmas however brought him to life this year and I praise God for that. It lasted around three days. That was what made Christmas for the whole family.
Wow, another move?! Our move went well last year but I can't imagine doing another one anytime soon. But I'm thankful you guys are heading somewhere that you've loved before. Praying for you as you have a lot going on again this year!
Good to see you and glad everyone is well. I have shared here before that I am a pediatric homecare nurse and have 8 kids and still homeschooling 4 of them, just saying this so you know you are not alone it is very hard to survive these days without 2 incomes. It is emotionally and physically draining to wear so many hats but the Lord will make us strong for His glory. I hope you can rest more and resume your first calling if possible, when you return to Indiana. ❤
Homeschooling was the hardest part for me. The last thing I wanted to do when I got home and was mentally drained was to answer fraction questions. LOL. But there is definitely a deep admiration for the women that balanced the hats and did it well!
So good to have an update from you ❤ You seemed so drained this past year, but you look a lot happier in this video. I’m going to work on the challenge (and hopefully put it on RUclips), but I’ve already been working through a lot of our food storage the past few months.
I am so glad about your move to Indiana and the upcoming trip to California! Our Christmas was nice. We celebrated with each son's family individually and still have one more gathering. I would love to have all of them together, but I'm grateful we could spend some time with each of them.
That is one of the things I love about the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and our little city! Everything is within a mile from our house that we need. However, the bad part is we are limited on what we can buy in the grocery because the prices are higher and we have less selection. We can drive 30 minutes to go to Walmart though. I finally started making videos! I do not think they are very good yet but they are improving! And I have 50 subscribers now which I think is amazing. I feel so blessed! Monday hubby had an appt with the VA to start the process of getting a rating. It is similar to disability only it goes by percentages. An example is he has tinnitus and if approved that is a 10% rating equal to around $175 a month. He also has a hearing loss and impaired vision. So whatever the rating is if accepted lets say each is 10% that would give him 30% for around $600 a month. Due to his service time and medical history his Dr. thinks he may qualify for 100% so we are praying about it and leaving it in God's hands. It would allow us to not have to worry financially. The service rep said it could take 2 weeks or 2 years so Until then we will just keep going!
What a crazy system! Praying for a good outcome! I havent even gotten back into WATCHING RUclips. It's just been a bounce from one thing to the next over here.
@@SodbusterLiving Yes it is. After one year of refusing to sign up for food assistance I decided that would be better than the food pantry if we qualified. I kind of thought we would because I make under $11,000 a year for two people. Our bills are really low so it covers everything so that is good. I also applied for medical because working as a substitute does not include health insurance and I haven't seen a Dr since we left Washington. I got a email Saturday so I logged in to the site and I qualified for insurance which is a huge blessing but we also were given food benefits and I was shocked. We qualified for more than we spend a month normally! Will you be moving back to your hometown? It is to bad this position wouldn't have been available before you sold your house and moved! It was nice seeing you on camera again!
So glad to see you, I have missed your videos. Glad you all are doing well. Will be praying for a smooth transition and move for you all. Happy New Year!!
2024 had me having a stroke in July. God spared me, and I am turning my life around. Taking care of myself and my health. I now also have type 2 diabetes.
I applaud you for going back into the workforce and making things work!! As a Michigander, I’m sad to see you go and wish you had a better experience. It’s a great state
Great video to start the new year. We just recently made a big move too and I’ve started working again after 4 years of staying home. I too have been thinking about making changes this year and learning how to manage my time better so that I can work and care for the home. You’re not alone and your videos are very comforting and motivating.
Yay, so glad to see you back! 🎉 Your videos are like a visit with an old friend. I have so many questions! Are you gonna be taking your trailer or starting over fresh? Will you also be getting a job in Indiana? I can tell you are excited about the move and I'm so happy for you! (Secretly I'm living vicariously through you because I want to move out of my awful neighborhood SO BADLY!!!) Looking forward to the next video and going on the 2025 journey with you! 🙏
Well, I don't think we will. 1- we signed an agreement with the mobile trailer park that they get first dibs on buying. 2. To move it to a place where we don't really have a place to park it doesn't seem cost efficient. 3. We'll be in a rental for a while since the market is pretty high right now. Rough neighborhoods are HARD! You want to be at peace where you are, and you can't! I get it. We are blessed that this is one of the better mobile home parks of our area, but I still smell "skunk" every night and that isn't comforting to me.
@@SodbusterLiving Ahh, I see. I grew up in single/double wides but my dad owned the land so that helped a lot! Land is expensive, housing is outrageous! I'm praying for you all. And I wish "skunk" was the only thing around here. 😭 Jesus come quickly!!!! Lol
It is so good to see your face!❤ I will be praying for your move. I’m so glad you are moving back to Indiana!🎉 It’s such a great place. Please stop by and stay with us on your way to California! Love you, my friend!
I would LOVE to, Joy--- but we're thinking of flying this year to help with time. :/ However, I'll be connecting with you-- how close to Omaha are you?
Glad you are back 2024 has been a whirlwind I got bit by a tick in June and ended up with alpha gal syndrome which stinks but I am learning to live dairy free and beef free and trying to be positive about it. My husband is still in the late stages of dementia and we are just doing the best we can with him dementia can make people mean and hard to handle but thankful he is still with us he is only 52 so hoping we get another year but not sure that will happen. My daughter turned 18 and will be starting college in the fall lots of things going on. Glad you will be able to move back to Indiana i feel for you moving again is rough. Glad to see you again Chelise take care and stay safe!
I work with dementia patients. It is hard. Its easier as a caretaker because I don't have the connections that the family has. If your insurance covers it, if you can get a caretaker to just help so that you're not fighting on the basic needs of life, then you can focus more of the good moments together? Prayers with you!
So good to “see”you again! I always love your videos! So funny!! Starbucks is a good motivator!! Girl!! You are doing so much!! There are times I have worked 40 hours, but 50 hours..I can’t imagine! I am fixing to go back to school to become a Medical Assistant at the age of 38! In my eyes you are supermom and you encourage me so much!!❤️
Oh you have a lot going on, Are you moving back around the area you were? I’m so glad ur coming back on , and ur moving out of Michigan, hope to see you back on soon ❤️
Thank you for the update! I too am back in northern Indiana. I moved in the summer back to my hometown. 40 years since I moved away. Praying for a smooth transition for your family!
Learning our needs are fewer and fewer and even when I would mess up and blow it, HE always came through. He is SO good. I didn't have a good attitude this year and HE still made sure needs were met rather than let me fall into my own muck.
That would be a WONDERFUL highlight! My daughter wants to do that. Go her! I had those ambitions when I was younger but now I aim for walking. ;) I applaud you!
I hope I'm not repeating myself I thought I commented but don't see it. It's nice to see your smiling face again. It's understandable why you haven't been vlogging, sometimes it's just our season of life. It's obvious you're home sick for indiana. Prayers that you can make the move as smoothly as possible and find a nice new home. Does your husband have an estimated start date for his new pastor position in Indiana?

I have a letter that I just need to get OUT to you! I should probably just add a second one with all the changes and updates.
I’m glad you’re okay. I knew you were. No need to explain . God bless you sister and your family in Jesus name .
God is good ALL the time.

Wonderful!!!!!!! Yes, these past few weeks have been refreshing. Drained is a perfect way to describe my year.
Glad to see you back. Xx
Working and balancing being a present mom is definitely so hard-I feel this! ❤
I know you can relate! It was awful. It IS awful. YAY for income to help the family, but BOO at the cost. :P
Wow you are one busy lady! No wonder you haven’t made many videos lately.
I love the sound of your family’s Christmas gifts.
Happy New Year 🎉
Thank you! You too!

Thank you and same to you!
I feel you on not being able to get to things.
We are raising and adopting our grandson 💙.
Little adventures along the way!
Wow! What a blessing to have your grandson!!! I know that brings challenges as well and I hope and pray you have a very blessed year.
@@SodbusterLiving yes and we are young grandparents so that helps 🤣
Praying for you and your entire situation. We’re participating in the challenge too but modifying it to fit our needs 🤍
That's the best part! the rules are to fit it to you and your family!

Praying for you ❤
Thank you and same here for you.
We live in southern IL now and I love hearing the coal trains here ❤ We didn’t have trains when we lived in IN either.
They have a soothing sound.

He has begun already and we travel back and forth once a month to do what is required. We don't have a move date yet.
@SodbusterLiving wow, how far is that for you?
Sweet Challice I have missed you friend! Happy New Year!
Hello Rachael! We enjoyed the Christmas card! THank you!
My highlight was I got Married! FINALLY
YAY! May the years ahead bring joy, growth, and goodness to you and yours.
