honestly, inspirational pics don’t always help everyone. in my own builds, inspiration and pics on pinterest just demotivate me and make me not want to build the vast majority of the time. i dont like restricting myself, as i know that i dont function properly with a stricter topic. the biggest and most useful tip is to know what works best for you. this applies to almost everything in life, like what subjects you like. if you like more free subjects, you generally dont like restrictions. on the opposite end, people generally work faster and better with a topic and specific schemes. its so important to know what helps you, but also to experiment if you arent sure.

I’ll never get it back which is sad but I’ve never been able to find the true for this house until now!!!! Thank gosh I saw this I loved it sooo much it’s so pretty!!

So for layouts typically, I have in mind a specific room I wanna do (typically a living room) so I usually build the entrance + living room first (which typically is in the front of the house). And then from there to make the house proportioned I’ll go in different directions to add bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms etc. Layouts for me are more of a “winging it” subject so really it just evolves and changes based on my imagination. I used to struggle with them a lot so I’d say the best factor to get better is just practicing!
