New to this sport, grew up not fishing but dreaming of it. Soooo much to learn it’s over whelming. Great show!

There was mention of using treble hooks but the ones shown have double hooks. Do those come with the SBF or were those added? If they were added, why? Do double hooks foul less? Using those double hooks, is there preference how they're oriented? Sorry for all the questions. Great video. Subscribed.

Originally, the SBF came with double hooks and a single Siwash option. Now, they come with treble a treble hook plus a Siwash. It's up to you how they are rigged. We do have a few of the double hooks left in the shop if you are interested. Some people really like the double hooks but I was never too sure why to be honest. The SBF is an awesome lure. Personally, I like the use just the Siwash but that's up to personal preference. Please call the shop at (360) 747-1093 for info. Thanks for sub! www.anglerwesttv.com/sonicbaitfish.aspx

Here's a comment that Pete Rosco-the designer of the SBF-made today on a different video you might find interesting.

Try a small Sonic BaitFish (SBF) on that bottom bouncer, displayed in the video. I'd rather be casting the SBF rather than trolling it because of a better feel and more enjoyable experience. However, even though I fished Lake Erie walleyes for over 60 years, we only attached nightcrawler harnesses to bottom bouncers. Then we started casting metal jigs in the middle 1980s for walleyes and discovered how deadly they were for any fish that was in Lake Erie. Initially, we jigged Crippled Herrings with great success and now it's with the SBF. Several years ago, a bad wind came up on Lake Erie while I was cast-jigging a 1/4 oz glow chartreuse SBF...my #1 finish for walleyes on Lake Erie. Five foot waves and a fast-drifting boat made it impossible to fish a metal jig effectively. For the first time in my life, I tried attaching that same SBF to a 2 oz bottom bouncer for better control in 37 feet of water. I tipped the single tail hook on the SBF with a one inch piece of worm. I was shocked at the result at catching my limit of 6 walleyes within a twenty minute span. My technique was simply to lower the bottom bouncer until I felt bottom then lock down my reel and set the rod against the boat's gunnel...all simple, nothing technical. The SBF was attached to the bottom bouncer with a 2 1/2 foot 17 lb fluorocarbon leader and a connecting snap swivel to the SBF. When jigging, I only use the snap provided in the SBF package. But, when trolling or casting, use a swivel to minimize line twist with this lure's lively action.
