    We ordered our 261 in February '22, arrived here in Lake St. Clair, Michigan in July. As our season in The Great Lakes is winding down I must say this boat is amazing. Every time I wash it I notice another engineering, safety or usability detail not mentioned in any of the reviews. The fit and finish are excellent, all components are high end, the comfort and convenience of the deck/seating layout while on the hook in the St. Clair Flats (no sand bars here😁) is exceptional. The ride is amazing, our seas are always mixed and crossing, never uniform or in rhythm so we always have at least a mixed 1-3' chop. We haven't seen a drop of water enter the boat, and I've been trying to do exactly that while running in the mid 30's and above. We ran 4' storm seas across Lake Huron while eating lunch. Great boat. Hits the non-fishing or seldom-fishing center console buyer demographic dead center. Go buy a 261!

      Will you trailer the boat? Who did you buy it from over there?

      Hi Mike, not trailering right now, but will trailer when fully retired. Bought from Matt G. at Wilson Marine in Harrison Twp., Michigan.

      @@chrisbauer6505 Thanks definitely will want to trailer my boat if and when I get it as northern Michigan in summer and Florida with the snowbirds. Probably most likely move up to 3/4ton or more if going 24-26ft. Center console.

      @@miked8227 Obviously you and I have the same plans lol.. The boat's dry weight is over 8000 pounds, plus a 2000 pound trailer you will definitely need a 3/4 ton pick up for long hauls. Around town or short flat hauls a 1/2 ton might suffice.

    Marcus, love your channel, mainly the fishing vids. While you’re checking out boats, go see the Mystique 48cc currently being built in Morehead City. Ex Regulator and Jarrett Bay folks building this one.

      Really appreciate that Bill! Appreciate the recommendation. I foresee the channel being 50% fishing vids, 50% boat/equipment reviews as the channel grows. I'm looking forward to highlighting other manufacturers, so I'll certainly keep the Mystique in mind. Sounds impressive! Thanks again!

    Has the price really increased that much? The 261 is 175-185k now. This was only a year ago….

    Why would you need a sea keeper at the sandbar

    • @saltwaterfishinguniversity
      @saltwaterfishinguniversity  2 года назад

      As discussed in the video Dubs, the boat can do other things, like fishing. And as someone who has a wife and 3 daughter's that all get seasick when bottom fishing, there's always a need for a seakeeper. That being said, it makes sense this boat doesn't have one because of its design and purpose.
