Always waited for them to come good but it seems that won't happen since they are at the wrong club. I understand the notion regarding Joao Felix being in the wrong club, but I'd argue that we saw him last season (when healthy) really starting to buy into Simeone's system of play. Given that Atletico will more than likely return to a 3-5-2 this year now that they have a replacement for Kieran Trippier, they are going to have the ball far more often, giving Joao more of the opportunities he needs.

    Timo Werner always had this reputation although scoring a good number of goals. He is a hard working striker doing all the right things without the ball but when he has it his decision making is subpar most of the time. Hence Stuttgart let him go for a relatively small amount of money back in the day.
    However, if he is a key member in a team that concentrates on counter attacking football he could be an absolute terrific player. Nagelsmann did just that as he knew Werner has the pace and an excellent work ethic. It resulted in the best season of his career so far. I see in him a player Diego Simone would love to have at Atlético Madrid. Werner‘s playing style suits them perfectly. Contrary, Chelsea and the German national team have to play with a lot of ball possession because the opponents tend to sit deep against them. That‘s exactly the environment Werner’s weakness come through.

    Tuchel had this problem ever since his time in Dortmund... they called it a luxury squad and in the end, at least half the players stood against him. in Paris, he had a even more luxurious squad, far more so than in Dortmund. one wonders, when he was sacked, all the players had already left, did they not know? did they not care? there was no goodbye for Tuchel, except for some who did it on social media like twitter. and a text like “Thank you very much for everything, mister. And good luck in the future.” doesn't really sounds like it's from the heart. so i expect, once Tuchel leaves Chelsea, that the players wont be too sad about it, and let's be realistic, with the teams he had and the results he got, i suspect the greenkeeper could get that much. not that i care about what happens to Chelsea, nope, couldn't care less, I just feel sorry for the players.

    • @PhillipMartinez09
      @PhillipMartinez09 Год назад

      Tuchel is very tough as a manager. he's not really the likeable man manager type. so he's not for everybody. but there is a reason he is so successful. he's a great tactician and demands plenty form the players. which is why less hard working players usually don't thrive under him. plus he's style of football is for a very specific type of personality and player attribute. Kloop has done great at Liverpool because he gets the players he needs tactical and personality wise. Tuchel just now is getting the opportunity to sign the right players.

    Mariano, in the other hand, have some problems that was clear at Lyon, as his too selfish style of play, or his lack in passing and skills, and I think it is why he can't really play at Real, and even in a 2nd zone club. But for OL, Zenith, or this size of clubs, why not.

    You completely misread Mariano's situation at R. Madrid. The club is not happy to keep him as a backup because of his professionalism and no complaning due to lack of playing time. They've actually been trying to get rid of him for the last couple of seasons but the guy simply won't leave the club because he won't get paid as much as he gets at R. Madrid at any other club.

    • @TheNormalJuan
      @TheNormalJuan Год назад

      You're not wrong there, but in fairness to Chelsea, their academy has helped develop a very considerable number of young talent for many years. Then there's their loan system, which has its problems, sure, but it does allow those talented young players to play regularly and improve their game elsewhere, and then they either impress enough to earn a place in the first team, or catch the eye of other clubs willing to make a permanent move for them. It's not ideal to let so many talented young players leave, but at least they're getting some great development in the youth and loan systems and are able to find a club that suits them best. Some of them fare better than others, sure, but it surely benefits them more than a club like ManUnited.

    • @TheNormalJuan
      @TheNormalJuan Год назад

      @@ThreeRunHomer he's literally 22 years old. He's already made a great impression out on loan. Tuchel has insisted he wants to play him this season. But let's say he doesn't play that much this season. He'll have no trouble finding a different club next summer, and he'll be 23, with still plenty of time and opportunities to improve and progress, playing regularly and being important for a mid-table club in england pushing for european competition places. The only way his career will be ruined is if he himself doesn't show an interest in working hard, and he has proved already he's eager go work and earn his place.

    Werner is in the wrong league, not just the wrong club. He can't cut it in the Prem. He's far better off playing against Bundesliga teams with really high lines and mediocre defences where he can run in behind and get one on one with the keeper. He lacks any sort of composure and will never be a good finisher. He's just good at running around like a headless chicken.
