Unbelievabable!!! So many people in need and they are just throwing these things away! Some may think this is gross but these items are packaged and the food itself is clean. This is amazing!!
I was grateful before for dumpster divers. Now I'm VERY grateful to know people are not only keeping it from landfills but helping others in a time it's needed most.
It’s not like that y’all. I worked for a milk company for like 15 years and you can’t even imagine how much milk I have had to throw away. I really wanted to give it away to people in needs but the bottom line is that people can get sick and put you out of business. Plus there is so much that gets thrown away that you have to give it away every single day you get off work. Imagine working 12 hours and then waiting another hour to give it to someone that eventually will start complaining about what you have to give them. Anyway , that’s my experience with it. ☮️
They pass the cost on to the customers. Some stores open and trash the food on purpose. They don't want nobody to have it because it lowers the prices and demand in the area around the store. Greedy bastards!
That's awful how wasteful Aldi is and other stores as well. I did Dollar General a few nights ago and there was a whole cart of Milk and juice and other dairy products on it still good way into January and February of next year. I filled my fridge with what I could. Glad it's cold out and the products stayed cold. So many people in need being out of work from this virus etc. I hated leaving the rest behind.
Yep I found a whole dumpster?? of milk dated Jan 6th. I took 10 gallons and gave it to my Sister. She shares with her neighbors. Hated to leave it all behind but couldn't handle it all.
You could always post on your local marketplace telling people it's there. Also great to do when you find an item is too big for you to take or you just don't need it. Happy holidays!
@@yvonneh9487 making it public can very well result in the store using locked down dumpsters (which many in my area use as the trash company has master keys) a 'word of mouth' network works so much better as he noted in his video he made friends with the others that showed up and added another bunch of folk to his 'network' - unity that's much needed in these times :)

It's just sickening the amount of food and perfectly good household items are just trashed here in the US!! I know it's just not profitable to "give away" things but there should be a write off or something available for donations. I just don't understand how this can be done. You can’t leave this to elected officials, they exist to grift off your tax dollars. The private business owners need to make these decisions based on pressure from the consumers.
Wat I do ‘t understand is the fact that here in The Netherlands aldi stores donte their left overs to foodbanks instead of throwing them away. The Lidl shops sell the items for 0,25 cents each to reduce waist. Why can’t they do that in the US ? You can hardly find A dumpster here to dive because almost everything that is left over is donated or the dumpsters are hidden inside the stores or they go to special shops that sell goods that are past their dates bit still eatable .

This is beyond wrong, with food banks, and miles and miles of people, sitting in lines to get food and to have unopened boxes of food is just awful... I know at one time in the 70's corporations, would let their workers take food home, I had a friend in Highschool, who worked for Fritos lay, and her dad, would bring boxes, of snacks home at least one a week, I don't know if they still do it but goodness...
As a food bank recipient I have found better food in the dumpster than the food bank, but honestly some chains are just better at donating than others. Once they gave me twenty containers of burrata, which is mozzarella filled with cream and cheese curds! It’s the most heavenly fresh cheese there is!
nice haul! and weather cold enough didn't have to worry about spoilage of the lunch kits - as an Aldi's shopper I can tell you that the truffles and gingerbread cookies sold for almost $4 a box, pretzel thins $2+ and the granola even more during the holidays - it's a shame the stores feel it necessary to just throw food away due to insurance liability issues and/or some states (like mine) do not allow past dated foods to be donated to non-profit food organizations - you have enough 'still good' foods to stock your own pantry and give some to others in need - truly a 'Blessing'!
I went to our Aldis today all there was King pao chicken and Curried chicken dinners. Gave them all to my my friends for dinner. Yummy. Then went to DG found and bathroom rug set, blessings jar and other things.

Omg the pretzel slims especially the everything seasoned are amazing. I honestly never cared for pretzels growing up but recently found the thins & you can eat them plain or dip the, my favorite is hummus.

I like how you threw the heads of lettuce on the ground . Glad you got those bananas : ) . All those muffins and chips . And what a great mystery bag a lot of great things in it . That is nice that you met some nice fellow divers and shared the bounty with them now also great that you have someone to contact if you find a lot .
Well at first I thought maybe it was an employee stash for them to come back later and take it all for free, with how all of them were super far from their expiration date, but it was ALOT of food so I'm not too sure

Get someone to go with you so they can load the car as you're taking stuff out. That's what me and my mom would do when I lived near her. It makes the process a lot quicker and for us it was safer
I once drank "Holy Water" at a local Catholic Shrine from the Grotto and was out sick for a week. My doctor asked if I had travelled to another country!

You could help some local shelters or food banks with any extra you don't have room for. or make care packages for the homeless.

The ONLY cases we've ever got from Alldees dumpster, 3 cases of frozen ribeye steaks!! AND they WERE delish!!!
