This video is from July 13, 1973. That day is when Héctor Cámpora resigned as president of Argentina, and the day after the death of Lon Chaney Jr.

Man, he was wrong about Chaney's age (by nine years) and two of his three cited film titles (Count Dracula and The Mummy.) Other than that, great job, CBS!

      He said "roles", not "films".

Doug Molitor - People respected other people’s biographical information then. Men really didn’t ask women’s ages. People would rarely say derogatory comments about age.

@@DrDespicable He says, "He played monster roles in such films as Count Dracula, The Mummy and The Wolf Man."

People who know acting recognized him. Certainly Stanley Kramer did and used Lon when he knew he needed an actor's actor for a role.

7:32. "Martin. It's all psychological. You yell 'barracuda', everybody says 'huh? what? You yell 'shark' and we have a panic on our hands on the fourth of July."

Roger Mudd was a long time news reporter. He was respected by millions on CBS. He read what was put in front of him...possibly at the last moment. RIP to him and Lon.

This must have been aired two weeks before I was born.

@bodeswell35 pretty sure it was 3 weeks and 2 days. 23 days. Collectively speaking; 23 is the Devil's number. It's obvious that this individual is the spawn of Satan----the Antichrist.

9:49 if you want to get to the point. Shame the way his career was so glossed over...and inaccurately at that.

Lon Chaney Jr. was not appreciated in his time.....had he lived another twenty years he would probably been eulogized more properly.
