- Want Vegetarian food in Bangkok Thailand? More specifically, Italian food? Then this is the right video for you because I'm sharing with you my experience of Vegan & Vegetarian Italian food. A restaurant called Govinda Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Bangkok is serving all vegetarian Italian cuisine and is also vegan friendly as certified by Happy Cow (www.happycow.net/)

Pizza & other italian food items like Ravioli, Pasta are what i recommend trying out at Govinda.
Bangkok is known for its street food, Pad Thai, noodles, sea food, buffets - the city has it all. However there are a few hidden gems for travellers who are vegetarian and vegan and Govindas restaurant happens to be one of them.
So if you are in Bangkok Thailand and on the look out for vegetarian restaurants then do visit this. They are also vegan friendly. So you can definitely get plant based food, without any meat and dairy.

All of this seams so yummy, but I have to say this is not Italian food, it's more like a fusion I think. Anyway, I'm vegetarian and I guarantee to you that we have a lot of vegetarian options like caprese salad, a lot different types of cheese (especially in the city were I live we like eat it with honey or jam or fruit), we have a lot of types of pasta like closed pasta (ravioli, cappelletti, tortellini, casoncelli and so on) and a lot vegetarian feeling options; we use to eat a lot of thing that you can garnish as you want such as piadina (for this one pay attention that is made with olive oil), pizza, polenta (with mushrooms so delicious), pasta (tomatoes, zucchini and cream, alla norma (fryed eggplants, tomato and ricotta)). The deserts are more difficult, if you don't eat eggs... I think you can try some type of cake like castagnaccio wich doesn't require eggs.
The beautiful thing about Italy is that we are a melting pot of tradition so this mean that every city is different from another with different culture and different food: the real Italian food doesn't exist! I think that this point is always forgotten and I'm not saying this to you as a reproach but because I can see that you love food like I do and want to the taste all the delicious food that you can! Maybe one day you will come in Italy😘😘😘

For someone like myself who lovesss thai and can easily find thai food vegan/vegetarian, I find it very strange that you went for Italian in Thailand. eheh But it's interesting as I think sometimes, especially if someone, like my western husband travels Thailand too long, he longs for western food!
