I thought I finally got NL on one of these when I finished the first one in 18 minutes, but I tabbed back over to watch, and was immediately reminded of my hubris.
NL, you keep clicking reveal a letter in the menu. That automatically corrects a letter for you that you had wrong. See Note changing to Dote in the bottom right corner of the first puzzle. You needn't press anything else than expert. Or you could use the gear icon to toggle Show Mistakes. And another online crossword tip, Tab goes to the next clue and shift+tab goes back a clue. NL's ability to be great at crossword puzzles and simultaneously suck at them is amazing.
