Remember that the S Class is 3 years old already so the 7 should have some more tech features. Yet, it has none that really set it apart. There is about 3 extra features which isn't enough since BMW had 3 extra years to try and beat the S Class and yet they couldn't. Gesture control is a complete gimmick, since the various functions for which you use gesture control can be executed without even taking your hands off the wheel with the buttons on the wheel. Parking the car when not in the car is another but now even the E Class has that which means the facelift S Class will obviously have it. Anyway, BMW had 3 additional years to get it right but they didn't it seems. Technology is not the only measure of luxury. You also need the interior ambiance and a bespoke feeling which the S Class has in spades. The 7 series on the other hand just looks and feels like a tarted up 3 series.
