Why doesn't MeTv or another station air the Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew shows for younger generations? It was good. It might get kids to read the books.

Jennifer Adams: Yeah, TV Land USED to be a great channel, and they used to have a LOT of good shows, but in order to cater to the "young generation", they got rid of all their great shows and replaced them with '90s and 2000s crap.

You can buy the DVDs of The Hardy Boys. Shaun was my first teen idol, but I loved Parker, too. I still listen to Shaun’s albums through Spotify and a couple of CDs. I got to see him and David in Blood Brothers. I enjoy Shaun’s TV shows that he creates, and I’m so glad he finally has a big hit with New Amsterdam.

Shaun Cassidy is LIFE! Born in ‘67 The Hardy Boys started my life long love affair with dreamy Shaun. Then the self titled LP with the groovy poster included. I was an avid fan of American Gothic. I think it would be more populat today. Launching the careers of Sarah Paulson and Lucas Black. The show was amazing. Shaun is brilliant. Now with New Amsterdam his creativity just keeps shining brighter. This was a great video. Thank you!

T Missing Link Videos CVS cancelled the series before they could show all of them. The DVD has every episode but in the same order as broadcast. The Show is also available on iTunes and again in the wrong order. To get the correct order, go to Wikipedia and look up the list of episodes. Again they are in broadcast order but if you look in the upper right hand corner of each episode you’ll get the production number which gives you the proper order.

@Dave Sundstrom The Hardy Boys Mysteries TV series (1977 to 1979). Was not the first live action adaptation of Edward Stratemeyer's classic characters. The original Mickey Mouse Club TV show from 1956, featured two Hardy Boys TV serials, starring Tim Considine and Tommy Kirk. In 1967 NBC aired a hour-long pilot for a Hardy Boys television series. The pilot was based on The Mystery of the Chinese Junk. It starred Tim Matthieson (later Matheson) as Joe Hardy and Rick Gates as Frank. Both actors were in their early twenties at the time. So, the Hardy Boys were portrayed as young adults rather than children. Unlike the Mickey Mouse Club TV serials.

Shaun Cassidy was my very first concert. My mom took me which surprised the hell out of me. I didn’t think she would. I wore a new flowered pink dress and brown leather sandals with my first pair of pantyhose. I felt so special. Shaun was amazing on stage. I’m 53 years old and can still picture the day. It’s one of my favorite memories I have of my mother. She passed away 3 years ago from Alzheimer’s.

So fun story. I was about 7 or 8 and I entered a contest at a local record store called, Win a date with Shaun Cassidy, I had such a huge crush on him and so this would’ve been a dream come true for me. Well I didn’t win but did get a first place prize which was a signed picture of him, his album, a life size cut out and a beach towel. I still felt like such a winner.

Shawn had a killer band when he played out. The late great Denny Greenspoon of 3 Dog Night on keyboards, Room 222 character actor David Jollife (also played a motorcycle gang member on The Partridge Family. ) Jay Gruska on piano..Carlos Vega on drums from the 79 Live album That's Rock n Roll Live. Any chance of ever doing a tribute video of David Cassidy?!?!. I wish more people would have seen him for the talented musician he really was. His solo career in the RCA label from 75 to 77 was, to me, at his best, brilliant southern California sound. Hanging with the likes of the band America, Flo & Eddie of The Turtles, his producer Beach Boys, Bruce Johnston and beach boys drummer Ricky Fataar. The list goes on and on. I can go on and on as well. I appreciate all you do my friend! Rowland

American Gothic was a great show! I forgot all about it until I watched this video. The other short lived television show, Roar with Heath Ledger was pretty great as well. I didn’t even realize Shaun Cassidy produced both of those tv series. It’s a shame that so many great television shows weren’t allowed to grow and find there audience and there respective networks also treated them very poorly! This video once again shows us that just because we haven’t seen a certain actor on the small or big screening a very long time doesn’t mean that they completely disappeared. People like Shaun Cassidy are now working behind the camera and not in-front.
