      Here is what I am a little confused about. There seems to be 2 trains of thought when it comes to PED use. On one hand you have people who claim that if you take the right PEDs you barely have to do or know anything and can do the dumbest f*cken workout plan and you are still going to grow. And there are some studies to back this up. In one study the steroid group gained more muscle doing absolutely nothing than the group that did an effective workout every week. On the other hand you have people who claim that most PED users don't look like they lift and are weak. Now I how this is a complex topic especially bc the terms "PEDs" and "stariods" are large umbrella terms, but can you give some thoughts on this discrepancy?

      The thing is, you aren't going to look like or lift as much as the next person. Genetics, bone structure, muscle fiber types, height, etc all vary this a lot. I'm working out now with the knowledge that I may never look aesthetically pleasing, and that's perfectly okay! I am absolutely certain I don't have the genetics for it (and I might actually even have hormonal/thyroid issues -- but I'm going to see a doctor soon to make sure), and honestly I have better things to do than to go balls to the wall with fitness and clout chasing. But as long as I feel better and move better, that's what I'm truly after.

  • @Electric_

    Great video - the obsession over this stuff is insane, and Jeff Cavalieri is definitely on something(s). I would add that TRT is pretty amazing, so someone saying they “just do TRT,” well, they have a serious advantage. Firstly, their test level is through the roof a couple of days per week, and secondly their test level is basically always high normal, even when sleeping. That’s a massive advantage over a natural lifter, and enough for a previous steroid user to maintain much of what they built into old age. So if an influencer says they just do TRT, just know that it’s not like steroids lite, it’s literally steroids, just safer than cycles, and legal and possibly medically necessary due to past abuse of anabolics.

    It’s very refreshing to hear someone be completely honest with his viewers. I agree that this drama around someone’s natural status is way out of hand. Personally I am not affected by Alex Eubank lying about being natural. What makes me care about this to some degree is when someone lies about their natural status to profit off their viewers through video views, selling products, and programs. However the average fitness joe needs to take more accountability for their actions and question what they see online. Gullible people need to be held accountable just as much as the people who lie.

I said well its going to take you at minimum 5 years and my friend said I only got 10 months then I'm going to quit going. A lot of these teenagers and 20 somethings just want instant gratification. But I can also see how if a PT told a new client.. oh its going to take you years to develop the body you want. Many people would be discouraged and demotivated. It's cause people do not understand how AthleanX's bodyfat % affects ones body, if you eat so little at his age and even does the amount of cardio to be there, lifting will always feel like you have the flu, on top of that your hormones and the environment for growth and maitenance of the body is in the trash can. He also is a millionaire from his very image, which is enough of a motive to be on PEDs even for me, who is a lifetime natural and am not interested in ever hopping on anything. Tristyn lee would not have muscle on his body if he was that lean year round naturally, so even though they don't optimize their growth, growth is not an option naturally being that lean, it's something bodybuilders work down to just for one day then start piling on healthy amounts of fat again to keep to the progress. Btw i will disagree with you on the saying that the average ped user at your local gym still benches 135lbs, they don't, peds actually work, if you have no disipline and don't know what you're doing being on them, you'll still be way stronger than a 135 bench, although the sentiment that most ped users don't look like they sauce is true for the most part.

    One thing I don’t agree with is the “don’t compare yourself to others” mantra. You will and you do, every day. Hierarchies are a part of human nature deeply engrained into our decision making and everyday life, even if you don’t realize it. I would say to keep the comparing healthy instead, compare yourself to the average and once you reach a certain point, you can switch the goal. You are a 20-30-40 year old male and want to compare to the big average or your age group instead? For me, it gives a goal when I am worse than somebody else, I don’t feel sad and shit. You simply cannot look me in the eyes and tell me that you do not compare.
    Side note, the guy’s physique is attainable naturally, he is’t even that big when you consider he ain’t a manlet. Is it hard to do? Yes, if it weren’t then he wouldn’t be famous…

    • @REVIVALFitness
      @REVIVALFitness  Год назад +1

      Everyone compares, yes. You don't really have another option mentally. I mean from the context of obsessing over it and nitpicking at the level these guys do. His physique might not be natty attainable for him. For someone with pro card level genetics, sure.

    What bothers me is people who claim natty who aren't. Because it distorts the perception of what one can expect as a naturally. So, after I while people don't know what the natural expectation of what they could look like is.
    And when honest people get bad information it's sad. It's human/animalistic nature to compare ourself to others, right or wrong. But, people giving others false hope or disceiving people is horrible quality to have. No one likes that. unfortunately, in a day in age of fakeness I don't see it getting better. Ultimately be the best you, that's the most important thing to others who care about you. Things aren't as important as you think they are. What's important today may not be so important tomorrow.

    Just found you and @GVS through the "maingaining" controversy. I watched ALL 2 hours of you roasting RUclips's favorite manlet. It was a comprehensive well-presented breakdown of his many contradictions. My 'issue' with the both of you is the idea that someone who wants to be "shredded" somehow has body image issues and the guy who "HAs tO LoOK BiG iN cLoTHeS" does not. I'm 5'11 and can weigh anywhere between 145-160lbs with single digit bodyfat. I have pretty much looked like this my entire adult life. Not a powerlifter by any stretch of the imagination but stronger than the avg donk. I'm not aware of any self-esteem issues. If you are 5'6 and NEED to be 190lbs, yeah, you probably are suffering from "lil dude" syndrome. How many guys who HAVE to be BIG were little pussies growing up? They're still pussies--just in big bodies. Remember, wherever you go, there you are!

    • @REVIVALFitness
      @REVIVALFitness  Год назад +2

      I don’t think I’ve said that someone who wants to be shredded automatically has body image issues, but it’s very common. It’s more normal than not among young lifters. They’re body dysmorphic beyond belief because social media is filled with guys who are shredded year round (they’re all “natty” of course) while still making progress. The vast majority of guys cannot sustain sub 10% body fat for any significant length of time.
