Ange knows the score. Going through the second half of season with rookie Oh as the back up striker wasn't ideal and he will sign a big striker in the window. No reason why we can't buy at least 2 more ccv or jota level signings.Despite our financial strength there is no reason why we cant also pick up a talented free or end of contract player and hit them with a tasty wage like O'Riley. For me we should have 1 scout who searches and assess players all over the world whose contracts are expiring or have expired. Id like to see us build a fan zone outside the stadium.
O'Riley, if he's a starting central mid, he's not Champions League level IMO. Right wing we need to improve. Jota and Maeda can hold down the left, Jota can fill in on the right, but we don't have a third option who is as effective as either of those two. Yes Maeda is not the greatest footballer, but his physicals and his movement make him effective. I think we struggle to score against good teams. Defense is pretty solid, but we had Welsh and Jenz playing in most of the the CL games last year. Starfelt is not lacking in ability, usually his mistakes are a result of lack of concentration which is why none of them have resulted in losses.
