Just saying isn't 'Knights and Marines' a solid CE for most Quick servants. At base it's 50% charge and 10% Quick, mlb being 60% and 15% Quick. Just thought I'd mention it coz I don't see a lot of peeps bring it up. Anyway great guide and enjoy that NP4 MHXA lmao loved your Sunday stream. When Cross Calibur does extra dmg to Saber servants but the whole point of X Alter was to counter X who is an assassin and also an Anti-Saber Weapon therefore is X Alter the true Anti-Saber Weapon?
Pretty great guide, Fino. I NP5’d and grailed mine. :3 Though I would recommend Merlin for her even through she’s not Buster based. Half her deck is Buster and she does have madness enhancement. The rest of her kit synergies pretty well. 50% increase healing from Garden of Avalon is pretty great. There’s also the fact that MHXA has a better NP gain then most Berserkers which again is boosted by Garden of Avalon. Just a thought.

A single target Quick NP with 1200% is the same as a ST Arts with 900%, which is the same as ST Buster at 600%. That's true, but when you factor in the Quick damage modifier (0.8x) it's basically the same as Buster and Arts NPs. 1200% * 0.8 = 960% effective multiplier, whereas a ST Buster NP would be 600% * 1.5 = 900%, and ST Arts NPs are 900% * 1.0. (yeah, it's still 6.7% more, but pretty negligible)
petzkuh I would not call it negligible but I'm pretty sure he was referring to how quick NPs have the highest effective damage. The difference seems small until you start stacking and small differences becomes greater and greater

Mysterious Heroine X Alter: The only servant in all of FGO that can make intuition a good skill. How? Berserker star gather rate + Sovereign's Invisible Hand + Hans (Or Waver/Merlin)+A Crit damage dealer+Royal Brand means you have complete control over where those stars are going and if I remember right that lack of control is why intuition is so bad. With MHXA's star gather rate at 9 and her third skill reducing the other support's gather rate to zero the stars have no choice, but to go to that third servant.
Grails tend to be more effective on high stat servants, but honestly MHXA is pretty good even with a low attack stat. Put her in a full berzerker comp and have her nerf the star absorption while increasing the attack of whoever you want to hit the hardest. In my case, I'm often nerfing her or Pent's absorb so my grailed Beowulf can do a big buster NP chain. Ever seen Beowulf get 100% on two buster cards, with six buffs? His own, Merlin's, Pent's, and then MHXA's via plugsuit. 200k per card, excluding his NP, and that's not even a totally min-maxed set up.

But to him it wasn't great since he wanted Tamamo and now all he had for Shinjuku Archer is wasted since he melted rolling like a madman. He'll have to pull out some funds now. But at least with Sanzou he won't have to worry about Assassin bosses anymore and NP4 MHXA should really be helpful against Saber bosses especially the Memorial Salter battle.
Everyone keeps saying it's a Merlin meta but he's only been out a month and everyone still using Wavers. I assume something is coming where people will need him, but right now the story is over and everyone got through without him, so how can "meta be Merlin"?
People use waver mostly to farm, which is most of the game. If its about challenge quests or story bosses or dmg in general then merlin is in since buster is all about damage and the 100% crit buff is also stacked. While waver generates more np charge with 20% to the party and 30% to a single unit. The issue then resides in what you said, "everyone still using Wavers". That is because waver is a non-storylocked SSR who is also not limited and has been out for way longer than merlin. So it's not so much an issue of what people are using so much as what people have to use. Merlin does a lot of things waver does not and only slightly vice versa. Meta also stems from jp where they have already gotten through Remnents and 2 lostbelt chapters where he was more available. Basically, merlin can heal and charge np and cast inv on party and buff buster/atk/crit dmg all on ridiculously good cooldowns. Also everyone has a support merlin so its easy to use him.
Waver is on a whole different case. Even in Skadi meta, he's still extremely viable for farm team and is also still extremely viable on hard content. You only have to press more button. No matter how you look at it, waver is virtually until now, one of the most versatile servant the game has release and I'm surprise on JP, no one has talk about him more. He lacks this and that to become the definitive best support like healing, 50% buff to a card type and evade, invincibility (Stuff like that). SO he will always stuck in the zone that everyone use him but no one will say "waver meta".

In short
any servant that is ORIGINALLY a saber will get the damage(Example the Suzuka gozen fight in the nero fest from a month ago)

reines should combo really well with her, mhx alter can reduce a rider's crit weight and reines' np can remove berserker class disadvantage

That's the strategy I use when I run her with Jalter. Also helps that she gets double buffed.
