    I’m gradually going back through all your old videos over many months . Your dad’s place is honestly amazing, he has the best collection of “ran when I parked it vehicles ever” . He clearly is a vehicle connoisseur who saw the value of owning all sorts of great stuff that you now get to work on from time to time and sometimes even take home ( the lovely bus ) 👍

    Man! I spent many hours on one of those puppies, back in the late eighties and early nineties. Awesome rig! Exact model. Thanks for the post! You blew my mind!

    That was a very nice set of repairs for that old Lull. Impressive!
    It looks like you have a lot of older heavy equipment and trucks at your site. Some look real old. That Oshkosh truck might be a good project!
    Love your channel.

      Thank you very much! My Dad's been collecting stuff for years, so he's got quite a selection of old equipment that "ran when parked". I'll definitely do more videos on that stuff!

    That thing is the bomb. I like the crab pot wire mesh you have as a cover for the driver. I have an old John Deere skid steer. 1981. Maybe one day that will fire up again.

    that forklift looks like a perfect piece of machinery for a very wide variety of use around a shop !!!!!!! A very good calculated choice of engine to use in that machine !!! We had yale fork trucks in use at my old job and they also utilized chrysler slant six engines , you could not kill them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    In the early 90's I knew a guy who drove his Dodge van with a slant 6 35 miles home on kerosene. He said it made a cloud of white smoke and wouldn't go over 15 mph. The next day he filled it with gas, in a few miles it stopped smoking the power came back. He drove it for a few more years and had no problems from running it on kerosene.

Glad I found this channel. Just finish my very large weld table. I completed my wife’s pool slide Support yesterday and now I can start on my daughters bicycle trailer.

    @ 5:30 Now try and shut it off! You can't! No one can! It is such a sound to behold. Slant Six engineer's bosses drove them to hurl themselves off tall buildings screaming, "Why did we make this engine so dependable!" as they plummeted to engineer's Heaven. (The Bosses went the "other way". 😢 ). Indestructible. (I made up the Hurling Part). 😍

    Did you check the condition of the hydraulic fluid make sure it was a lot of water in it since you are trying to pick up a dump truck with the forklift that might be something you might want to look at

    • @LowBuckGarage
      @LowBuckGarage  4 года назад +4

      I think its a model 400, as far as I can tell. I did not see that on a data plate, just going by matching up pictures of other ones with the slant 6 motor. If you can get it cheap, I'd buy it, they're pretty interesting and fun to drive. I never got into all the steering options, but you can steer both front and rear axles the same direction or opposite directions or just the front. Its really maneuverable for the size.
