  • Today, Will is again at Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation. This time, we introduce Chuck Barr, the president of their board and a long-time volunteer, to discuss the kitchen garden. Join us to find out some specific history of this particular kitchen garden, as well as discussing how it would be used in the Revolutionary War era. Meet several regional varieties of vegetables and be exposed to some interesting gardening techniques and supplies.

      @@RevolutionaryGazette Hey guys. Can you recommend me (rather clueless guy from Europe) a good documentary about the Revolutionary War?
      Is there something on the level of Ken Burns Civil War series?
      I watched a few minutes of a video from "TDC - World History Documentaries" and Im not very satisfied with it. It appears shallow, doesnt tell about the background...smells like stuff from the History channel.

      They covered raised beds, typical colonial plants, plant support methods, succession planting, preservation methods, seed saving, wattle fencing, cheesecloth as a pest deterrent, etc. They covered a lot.
