This invader was named Astral.
Scientists conducted research and experiments on the captured astral in various ways.
And they discovered that individual astral can loose loyalty to herd by electromagnetic torture. Besides that, it was possible to manipulate freely it with human thought.
The Earth Defense Army developed an unmanned space plane "Myrmeleon" equipped with a human brain computer.
It has a spirit link with Astral, with a fire for attack, so an unmanned space fighter was completed.
But human brain computer without know-how of space flight and fighting did not get much battle results, so the production of manned space fighter aircraft was started.
The Ephemeroptera type space fighter based on Myrmeleon demonstrated excellent performance and destroyed the astral from the ground.
So the Earth Defense Force sends Ephemeroptera to the enemy base and carries out a strategy to annihilate the Astral group.
However, as Ephemeroptera invades the enemy base, communication ceases, all the aircraft will stop firing.
The Earth Defense Force launches a new strategy to capture the enemy base.
The old model Myrmeleon was remodeled and sent to the enemy base.

Akira Hut became the man that Irem (or Granzella) won't dare to hire.
The japanese are psychotic for thinking that's "plagiarism", they could just make a million r-types with a million story variations and claim anyone who came anywhere near it in terms of plot was "stealing".
What is the plot about this game? Someone can explain the lore?
can somebody explain about ending of this game?
Semelhança com eliminate down e gritante ... ótimo game
저 게임 지금봐도 머리가 아프네 1998년에 저딴 난이도였다고? 하다못해 1000점에 목숨 보너스 1대였으면 그나마 했을지도 모르지만... 지금 봐도 제작자는 일반인을 배려못해요.
japanese people like hard games, and shumps are usually the hardest kind of game
영상 다시보니까 아스트랄 크루저와 거기에 가담한 배신자와 싸우는 부분에서 에뮬 강제 불러오기가 있었군요. 사실 저 게임은 아무리 봐도 어렵긴 했습니다.
yes, I used save states. With modern life, a full time job and so many games coming out I don't really have to time to master anyone
This would be x multiply if the enemies weren't microscopic
This game looks too hard😮

Mooom! That spaceship's spanking the green girl!
ahah
Oh no i hope the alien lady saves the pilot 🙏 😢
That's not how space works, that's why the ending is sad and slightly dangerous, because the lone astral has lost everything.

@@zazi77 I am Korean. I mean, I found out that the ones escorting the Astral Cruiser were the ones who betrayed the Earth. It's a pity that you don't know Korean. There is only one traitor ship, and that is the ephemera, hence "death ephemera".
and it is because the enemies who come from the far side of the universe can corrupt and control machinery.
