Serenity's third album embarks on a journey to discover the historic figures of ages past. Embellished in symphonic metal garb, Christopher Columbus, Giacomo Casanova, Sir Francis Drake, Queen Elizabeth I, and many more prominent figures take center stage on "Death & Legacy". The band masterfully unites the emotions and thoughts of these famed characters with the fitting musical interludes that allow them to tell their tales. The
emphasis of Serenity's sound remains guitar-oriented metal, although they also use orchestral arrangements to create a detailed and colorful symbiosis of symphonic and metallic elements. Frontman Georg Neuhauser also enlisted the support of myriad scene divas for certain tracks. The impressive results include moving duets with Charlotte Wessels (Delain), Ailyn (Sirenia), and Amanda Sommerville. The album was once again masterfully produced at Dreamsound-Studio and its carefully crafted artwork allows each historic character to come alive. "Death & Legacy" is a powerful and enigmatic symphonic metal album that will take more than just the genre's fans on a historic and impressive journey through the ages.

This is amazing. A lot of effort has clearly been put into the video... Amazing camera man if u ask me and also the lyrics are meaningful. All you guys who say this is disgusting only think that because you have no musical sense in your head and probably flick through like 2 million videos at a time.
This is a great song and if you watch it from the start to the finish... Listen to the lyrics - understand the meaning - ( if your an idiot then you won't get it ) and take it all in you will then realise just how much effort has been put into this song and you will then learn to appreciate real music and the effort that these small bands put it because they put in a hell of a lot more effort than the bigger bands - Fact !

Holy hell! I saw this band live when they supported Kamelot in March 2008, had never heard of them so didn't think much of it but shook the guys hand and said great show, next time when they support Delain in May I'll make sure I know their songs! Great song, awesome seeing Ailyn too :) Definetely checking this album out :)

Chet Atkins was a Country and Folk singer. And I am a musician as well, I play the trumpet, violin, guitar, piano and some drums. I specialize in the violin and trumpet. And also Chuck Berry is Blues rock and roll but along with Eddie Cochran it was considred very "rock" for the time. The OLD stuff, which mind you is like Jazz with a bang! The REAL rock and metal came from the UK. With just blaring guitars and such.
In my opinion, this is the greatest music video ever made in music history. And I think that Serenity has such a big potential to stand shoulder to shoulder next to Nightwish, Within Temptation and Epica

I think that Ailyn fits more to Serenity than to Sirenia with Morten Veland harsh vocals and Sirenia's hard style from first two albums. Romantic, melancholic, nostalgic.
