I just want to say, I love this collaboration. The 3 of you bring different perspectives. I absolutely appreciate that you all came together.
Your conversation about Sisterwives was incredibly engaging and enjoyable. Your podcast is delightful because you can talk about anything. This brings back memories of being with my close friends, sitting on a comfortable couch, and feeling like we belong together, and having the talent to do what you do is appreciated; thank You.
Christine created and sustained something that Cody was unable to. The fact that the family is still so supportive and respectful to her is evidence that she is the true center of the family. She is a representation of all of his failures and to see her thrive absolutely kills him.
It only that first jenga piece for the tower to fall. That jenga piece was Christine.
With all the Alabama drama about IVF, there has been lots of $$numbers kicked around. IVF averages $30k per implant. If it fails, it's another $30k! Many couples have spent their entire life savings. No way was TLC picking up the cost. It was just a storyline.
I am in CA and did IVF. It cost 25K for 3 rounds all cost included.
It's not 30k per implant.
The retrieval costs more because of the procedure itself and the expensive medication, then you have testing (if you opt for that) and freezing of the left over embryos.
It cost a LOT less to transfer thankfully.
Ivf is very expensive though unfortunately.

As far as IVF, they were probably hoping TLC would pay for it for the show.

Kody left Meri long before the catfishing so Meri couldn't leave him nor did she cheat on him. She just hadn't left the family, there was no relationship with Kody for her to end.
I will watch seeking Sister Wives but they are so cringey.

It's interesting that some reality tv cast members have spun their personalities into lifestyle products, eg. cooking, home decor or fashion. Robyn could lean into the stay at home mom lifestyle - I think she blogged about holiday ornaments on the MSWC website - but the nanny undermines that in my humble opinion. It's not the nanny's fault! Just guessing that the nanny has to abide by strict "raise the kids our way or else" rules🤨 Even Martha Stewart says don't stab people in the back!! And we know she has done hard time AND can make a delicious pie!😂
She did 5 months in a cushy federal prison, not hard at all! Embarrassing but not hard time 😂

Meri had trouble carrying a baby to term. She had already experienced one or more miscarriages. Kody wasn't considering the whole experience and the risks. I understand Meri needing time to work through the emotions. She had to work through the emotions alone because Kody was disengaged. Kody was never interested in following through with IVF. He said a flat out 'NO' to Robyn being their surrogate.
Well, it’s pretty ridiculous because they weren’t having a functional relationship - and certainly weren’t intimate. Having a baby wouldn’t be very fun at all, and I’m sure Meri saw the difference in how Truely was being treated at this point.
Please watch LMFT Mickey Atkin’s analysis of Nancy’s therapy sessions between Kody and the wives! I think this would be a great topic to discuss, and even possibly have Mickey as a guest one day.
I think Kody's over the top reaction to Christine leaving was caused by a few things: I think he genuinely thought that he was better than her, and she was so far beneath him that she was lucky that he was with her. So for her to leave him is insulting to his pride and his ego, because how dare she, the least valuable of his wives, say that he's not good enough to be in a relationship with? It comes down to a lot of ego and a narcissistic wound. If someone was going to do the leaving, it should have been him. But she was the first domino to fall and he was also worried about it jeopardizing the show.

This past week I have found RUclips has deleted several of my comments. I don’t think I’ve ever had this happen before and they are not even bad comments. I just don’t understand what’s happening. It’s crazy!
I hope we have seen how referring to one person as they defeats the purpose of using language.
You all do a really good job talking about these old episodes. Somehow it's still interesting :)
