- Superman meets someone who has similar powers as him but he knows he is not Kryptonian, especially that he also knows that he is not a hero. His name is Homelander, and he is angry that he might get replaced so he engaged Superman first.

This entire fight, in my opinion, demonstrates why Superman would win. Even if their powers were equal (which they aren't), Homelander has no self-control, and no experience fighting someone on his level, whereas Superman regularly throws down with the likes of Zod, Doomsday and others who can match his strength, speed and durability.

@Anandhu Sarith I dont think supes is weak in magic. Its just like how humans are damaged by magic or bullets. Its not really a weakness like kryptonite.

@Anandhu Sarith No, not exactly. People really tend to take his vulnerability to magic to mean that anything with magic in it can hurt him but it’s a bit more complicated. The presence of magic simply means that it will work as intended. The best way I can think of to explain it is imagine that there are two swords. One is enchanted to cut anything and the other is enchanted to be unbreakable, beyond that they’re identical and in perfect condition with razor edges. If you swing the first one at him it will cut him if you can hit him with it and on top of that depending on which version of his healing factor you go with it still won’t help you much. If you swing the second one at him however even though it has magic and a razor shape edge you will never be able to even mess up his hair with it because it isn’t enchanted to do that. The only thing that blade having magic means is that he wouldn’t be able to break it.
@DEFCON ZERO Nope, magic doesnt make supes weak like a human being. If supes gets exposed to red sun or kryptonite he can be as weak as a human. Magic just hurts him but wont kill him, even in the justice league cartoon, supes vs shazam. Even when shazam hit supes with magic lightning supes was able to beat shazam. So no, supes is weak to magic just like every being in the dc universe, but will not make him as vulnerable as he is when exposed to the red sun or kryptonite. Also their are many ver. Of supes.

1:34 this clip is exactly why homelander could never beat superman. The lack of competition meant he'd never have to use or build skill.
Homelander doesn't have any Combat Experience and only relies to his powers, while Superman, despite having so much power, is skilled in hand to hand combat and martial arts. He is actually a very skilled Boxer and actually put up a good fight with Muhammad Ali. But other than Boxing, he actually knows more.

That's because the Seven are weaker counterparts towards the Justice League. The criminals are just regular people, while the Justice League fights super villains. That's why the Seven are seen as being overpowered because they never really faced any actual threat, other than Homelander himself. For one, Homelander can survive an atomic bomb, but Superman can take a supernova like nothing. A Train can run faster than the human eye can track but The Flash can over a million miles per hour. The Deep's only powers are breathing underwater and talking to fish but Aquaman mind Control them, and even Control all sorts of animals, even humans, also he has super strength as well, he can lift entire cruise ships like nothing, let's see The Deep do that.
Agree, I’m pretty sure that blood that appeared when the homelander was punching Superman in the face came from his own fist. And the only reason the homelander lasted as long as he did was because Superman was holding back just enough to not kill him.

superman vs omni man (On equal terms) would be very interesting, considering they both have a lot of experience in fighting people just as strong as them. though omni man still has no heat vision.

Honestly superman at full power vs Omni man at full power isn't fair. Simply because superman has molecular phasing which LITERALLY allows him to phase Through Omni man fist.

I like to think during this moment of intensity that Clark thought of all the innocent men, women, and children that were killed by this monster. All culminating in one final “FUCK YOU” of a double gut punch for all those people.
Fucking masterpiece, well done and we’ll animated, someone should rescore this with sound effects and possibly an intensity of music during the highlighted moment.

What can we say, unlike Homelander, Superman wants to protect people, including villains. He doesn't kill them, he just takes them to jail. Homelander will kill just about anyone even if they give up. This is the reason why Homelander is lazy, since he doesn't care for human life, he mainly uses his lasers to kill anyone. Superman cares about people so he has to be creative. He will only fired lasers at enemies he knows they can take it. So Homelander should be thankful that Superman saved him.

Scenario: sups somehow finds himself in this world and sees that all it’s are, pretty bad, especially homelander. What does sups do? He actually saves more people and people starts to love him more than homelander and pisses him off that he confronts sups, tells him him that he is on top not him and then sups talks back at him and then the fight commence.

One of the main reasons why i feel like superman would beat homelander is that he has a more chill mind. For Homelander, While anger can make you stronger, it can make you open for an attack from a smart enough opponent, like Superman. He's very good at keeping himself calm during a fight and rarely goes loose and let his anger out. And while yes, Homelander doesn't have any weaknesses, that doesn't always guarantee that he would win just because he isn't weak to anything. Superman does have weaknesses, yes, but he's learned to overcome those weaknesses and power through to make sure that the day is saved. And that's why I think superman would win.
I would literally pay more than $100 just to see this animated subtitled and with the proper music with the right speeches this would be the perfect fight

On a personal note, I like that they gave superman the red strong man trunks. I know people poke fun at it but is is part of superman outfit.
On a fighting level I agree with the results in 3 different ways
1 is the basic superman outperforms homelander
2 is that as homelander has never had to fight anyone near his level (baring comic black nor who killed him and tv storm front who at best tied him) while superman has had to fight equal or even superior foes like superboy prime or dark side and as such has leaned how to push himself past the pain. Superman has also learned several martial arts as well as pressure points while home lander is the basic "punch until it falls down"
3. When fighting someone who he cannot defeat superman has outsmarted them. Such as the 5 dimension imp Mr. M and when lex got all of superman powers. Superman made Lex burn it all to fast to matter

this is really cool, just some advice, to portray power in punches when doing soundless animations or just drawings in general is to draw little pow sfx when the characters punch, thats why they do it in comics.

I thought it was going to reveal every time Homelander left blood on Superman’s face (or caused a spurt of red) that the blood was coming from Homelander’s hand bleeding.
Homelanders isnt durable enough to take the impact and he isnt strong enough to hurt Superman he just doesnt have enough compound V in his body but even if he did increase his V levels, Superman can just go near the sun he jas infinite potential. Homelander does not he is limited he was designed by Garth ennis to be a powerful but limited superhuman not a formidable foe for Superman.

In the comics, Homelander forced a young girl and super heroine, Starlight to blow him and two others. In another occasion he used his heat vision to blow up an airline full of innocent defenseless people. Then dropped a car with a family from the clouds where they fell to their deaths. Homelander convinces most of the other supes to help him overthrow the US Government since they had the power and might. Not only does Homelander rape and murder the US president but also massacres and dismembers his vice president and his secret service. Homelander is a pathetic cunt and weakling who wouldn't last long against atomic skull, parasite, or any of Superman's villains.
Superman has gone beat Darkseid, Brainiac, the Elite, and many other godlike beings far more powerful than himself. Superman would break Homelander over his knee "Bane style".
