Thanks guys, this is great! We got our first dachshund for my son a couple of years ago. I have always owned and breed Labrador Retriever’s. This little dachshund is just as smart and trainable as the labs. The only thing I would say is that she has a little more sass about her :)

I never understood the bad feedback for dachshunds. When we went to dog training our trainer told us he considered Dachshund to be the worst behaved of all dog breeds and hyper aggressive. Then our guy was the best behaved most placid and well behaved dog in the class. He did bark a little bit but other then that was really well behaved and very smart. He loves games like you showed and training was one of his favourite things to do.
You should've used my dachshund because he is very stubborn and very barky, the complete opposite of thistle🤣 going to share to the uk miniature dachshund group on facebook!
Haha sounds like me. I taught my little guy "pickup" and used it to get him to pickup my socks and put them in the washing basket and also for him to pack his toys back in his toy box.
We love them too!! They are so full of character! 🥰🥰🥰 Have you signed up for our epic LIVE Total Recall event? Everyone is welcome, we would love to see you there!! 💖⬇️ absolutedogs.me/levelupmyrecall
@@absoluteDogsofficial I was looking for things that I can use a lot of (small dog, small stomach) that don't cause issues or weight gain. Carrot might work, just wondering what you were using as there were a lot of treats in that video.
Great question!! 🐾 We like to use our dog's daily food portions for the games, sometimes we use higher-value treats and sometimes we use toys. Its all about investing in the relationship and using what our dogs find rewarding 🙌💖 If you'd like to learn more about why and how to use your dogs food to grow awesome engagement and training with them, here's a link to our free ebook game.absolute-dogs.com/mc-ditch-the-bowl Dive in and discover how Ditching the Bowl can transform your dog's training! 💫 We would love to hear how you get on!
I walk a Minnie daxi and own and daxi X Maltese as soon as they get excited they default to bark! Daxi yes they are very vocal I be prepared if you are thinking of getting one.
Awesome.. I’ll keep working on that.. my only concern with you is you are not picking her up properly for a dachshund!!!! Hand under her bum AND her chest… Please watch her back!!! IVDD!!!!!
We LOVE working with Dachshunds! They're such fun characters! 💗🐾 Here's a super video of training baby Grose, when she was just 12 weeks old! Watch as she learns to engage and grow her desire for proximity with games! ruclips.net/video/GSRIxfRewqM/видео.html

I've only had boy doxies. I hear the girls can be temperamental.
I wish you did more in this episode.

He sounds a total star 🌟 I hope he continues to love the games! They are so much fun and beneficial too 🧡

The best breed! I taught my 10yr old dachsie to unload (her little) 'washing machine'. So clever, such fun dogs.

They are the best!
Please support her back when you pick her up! Holy smokes
My mini wire loves the games! Middle is one of our favourites 😀
Love this! My dachshund's favorite game is Middle. Play the games, they love them and it is such a life-changing experience! :)
Thanks for this episode guys. I own 2 rottweilers but have friends with daxies so have shared this episode with them 🤗
Which treats are you using here?
You can use any food that really motivates your dog 😊

And yes very very trainable and love the interaction
I love your tips!
ADORABLE!!!
Great video but such a shame to see her not being handled properly and her back not supported when she was lifted.

How much to train mine….totally failed
What are you feeding her? I’m afraid of feeding my little pup too many treats because they have a lot of calories.
Awesome.. I’ll keep working on that.. my only concern with you is you are not picking her up properly for a dachshund!!!! Hand under her bum AND her chest… Please watch her back!!! IVDD!!!!!
Good luck with that. They go thru life intriguing their loved ones. They don’t obey or train.
