Zipper Braid Hair Tutorial (2 Ways) | Braided Hairstyles

- Hey guys! In this hair tutorial, I will show you how to do a Zipper Braid / Suspended Infinity Braid on yourself. There are many braiding techniques that you can use to get this "zipper" design and this one is the easiest if you're doing it on yourself. ^_^ Thumbs up this video for more easy or braided hairstyles and keep the requests coming!
Note: Since you have to keep your hair in your mouth to do this on yourself, you will need medium to long hair for this braided hairstyle. If you noticed in the video, my hair is shorter! I got 5 inches cut off at base and 10 inches off the shortest layers. I initially wanted 3-5 inches off but my hairstylist & friend ended up cutting more. Typical. lol ^_^" I'm happy with it though and I'll show you how to dye it lighter in my upcoming video. Stick around. :)

This braided hairstyle can be done on straight or wavy hair. You can wear it casually to work and school or even dress is up for prom and weddings! Just curl the ponytail and add some volume to the crown of your head. It works best on medium to long hair and if you have short hair, you can always wear clip-in hair extensions.

I finally was able to figure this one out. I have tried several times watching other clips and nothing but confusion on my part. After watching you I was able to do this on my daughter and myself without any trouble!
I did this on my friend's hair but finished it with a fishtail braid and it looked so beautiful!
I prefer the first look but they are both gorgeous and easy to do!

hello! I really love your tutorials because they are easy to understand. I' m just wondering though, what is the difference between the zipper braid and the suspended infinity braid? As far as I can see they are so similar even on how it' s done. Can you please enlighten me? Thank you!

I've always requested this but can you do angles of your front face with the final hair do because it always looks nice in the back but I wonder how it'd shape your head when you're turned around.
