i was looking for info about transmissions coolers and then my next question was should i delete the line from the rad and I'm from Canada lol then boom you answered that one for me. thanks guys great video
Thanks bro, had one of the same ones that look like the mini radiator and it was also more restrictive in line pressure. The Tube and Fin has a better flow rate and allows pressure to be the same
the main risk with running trans fluid though radiator is if the inside of trans heat exchanger tube (inside stock radiator) does fail then coolant will become mixed in with the transmission fluid (like a strawberry milk shake) = catastrophic failure to the transmission..
Great explanation and video. It sounds like your mic is peaking either because it is too close to your face or because you need to adjust the input volume. It causes your voice to sounds harsh in the video.
id rather bypass the radiator , i see a lot of trans. have thermostats, I live in Midwest summers get hot , winters get cold , what works best for my situation , i tow a camper , would like to install a bigger oil cooler on my 2007 2500HD
Yes we agree we like to run the Transmission direct through the Cooler to ensure the Transmission will not over heat in the Hot Months. Thank you for choosing Monster Transmissions!
I understand that heat kills transmission. But Why don't factory install good transmission cooler? Some cars have no trans cooler at all but aftermarket options are available for them.
Hey, thanks for covering thr topic if cold locations. That actually make sense ..

If a Vehicle doesn't have a Transmission Cooler factory installed- then more than likely that Transmission will have it's life shortened.
thx vry gd advice.
Lol once the tubes get blocked you're back to square 1.
