I've stayed at Hotel Cristal a couple of times and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It's just on the outskirts of Cuneo, and takes just 10 minutes by car to get to the centre of town. It's a modern hotel with very comfortable, very clean rooms, at very reasonable prices. The staff are excellent and breakfast is delicious. Highly recommended! www.hotel-bb.com/en/hotel/cuneo-cristal

Thanks for your comment - I'm really glad that you enjoyed the video! The outskirts are mainly farmland, with some beautiful small towns nearby. Some of our favourites are Limone Piemonte, Dronero, and Mondovi. I'll have to do a video of Mondovi one day, as it's particularly lovely.
Cuneo is surrounded by beautiful valleys to stay/walk and experience many of the beautiful thermal baths, lots of historical buildings and nature galore!
