And the guy who played Manson in the movie "Helter Skelter" is in this movie. But he played the cowboy truck driver, not this psycho. But it made the opening credits very confusing.
Ironic how they are parodying Charles Manson and Steve Railsback, who played Charles Manson in Helter Skelter, played the truck driver in the end. "Climb on here, Slim!"
Granted, he doesn't have much to work with. And the judge should know that a lawyer cannot change a client's plea without their permission. What makes it worse is that Norman would have already had the chance to bargain with the prosecutor over his sentence and no lawyer alive would attempt to take Lupik's case to a jury trial for obvious reasons. California had no death penalty at the time. He could plea for insanity (and have a good case for it based on the nature of the crimes plus Lupik's general appearance and demeanor); either way, Lupik would not be seeing the light of day for many decades.
Reminds me of what happened back in high school. I was offered drugs at the top bathroom between classes. I turned them down but knew where I could score them. I could have left it alone, told a teacher, OR call the police. I opted to call the police instead. They were there and moved in at the time/place and caught the users/buyers red-handed. This placed the school on lockdown as they now had probably cause to search the lockers. This tied into distribution, contributing to the delinquency of minors, federal charges, etc. Many were charged as adults so it was going to be steep. It got around I was the guy who turned them in and a few students were siding with the criminals. The teacher said something along the lines of this judge...telling the class that (due to the nature of th charges and being federal) they were likely to not remember their own name let alone mine by the time they go out. Its been over 25 years... some of them MIGHT be getting out soon.
Eugene Levy, after this case, would have job with ex Oregon Governor Kate Brown, yesterday as Head DA! Ain't one constitutional law, she wouldn't break. His attorney acting was the kind of folks she digs. Lawbreakers, let them out! Like she did, prior to leaving office.
He didn’t mean it your honor 😂
That cracks me up every time
😂
😆 😂😂😂😂
“He didn’t mean it, your honor!” 😂😂😂
"You call that plea bargaining? Where the hell did you go to law school?"
..'The police found rugs in his apartment made out of human hair 🤨"
@@adamfrost3139 Bad taste is not a crime your honor
As a kid I didn’t know it was a parody of Manson. Now I know and enjoy it even more!

Didn’t the Defendant end up in the same Security Guard class as his attorney? 🤣
The guy who Norman defended on an assault charge and got five years. Norman was like "nah, that wasn't me." 😂
actor playing defendant was fantastic at being hilarious even when threatening death. Who is he?
His name is Glenn Withrow
"I dont believe every pyschopath I defend, but i happen to believe this one."
Jim's Dad was never cut out to be a lawyer
I sincerely feel the facts are completely irrelevant in this case🤣🤣
I could have pled this down better and I’m not a lawyer. Loved this movie.
A great comedy movie and a hilarious scene ⚖️😀😃😄😂😂🤣😛😝😜🤪
In that case I move for a mistrial.
Law and Order Jack Mccoy just starting. 😅😅😅

0:10 if I go to jail?!, I'll kill you, starts doing a fake cry on his shoulder.. 😭💀😂😅🤣💀😭😭💀😂😅🤣😭💀😂😅🤣😭🤣😂😅😅😅😅😅😅......
That wasn't a fake cry; that was him meekly attacking him
Dude, he straight up bit his lawyer on the shoulder/neck. He was getting the point across physically.
I always thought he was biting him.
