The Thumbnail did indeed change. I always create at least two thumbnails to choose from. Also sometimes swapping out the thumbnails provides a little boost in the algorithm. A good example of that is my Deku AMV which jumped from 500 views to over 6k views by changing thumbnail. Now that obviously doesn't always work but since I create multiple thumbnails anyway it's worth a try.
