The pencil sharpener tip is brilliant. So simple. Gave me one of those "why did I never think of that before" moments. And the log carrier/clothes line is a great one as well.
I agree, the pencil sharpener is a great idea I've been using one for over 50+ years and it's been a life saver. Cheers form the mountains of NZ 😁😁
Yeah seriously smart
Mike you are my hero I am going through a really depressing time right now and youre videos are helping me so much ❤️ love your videos
Me too man! Stay strong and stay safe ✌️
@@brendanoneill6267 I will man stay strong
Strenght for you mate❤
Keep the head up man, it'll get better 👌
Stay strong. There is always people to help and care even if you don’t think so.
I absolutely love this content. In these times of absolute madness, going out in nature is one of the only ways you can truly feel at peace. Might as well practice bushcraft while out there, and there's always a steady stream of nice ideas coming from here.
Great
This is the way...
If ever sadness or anxiety overcomes you, go to the forest. Open your eyes wide and in every tree, in every bush, flower or animal you will see God's providence, which will give you comfort and strength.
Still one of the best bushcraft/outdoor channels on youtube, and a much needed distraction to what's otherwise been a pretty grim day
I am a born and raised city boy, with very little survival experience (outside of an urban environment). But this is all such useful and practical information, and it inspires an urge to head into the woods; to discover some dormant ancient wisdom and skills that my ancestors knew well enough to get me here. I may not (yet) be a survivalist, but after binging several of your videos, I’m definitely a subscriber. Great stuff man. Cheers!
I have to disagree with the urge I would die from bugs but yea cool vudei
I love setting up a plough point tarp shelter. Keeping it ready like that in a pocket of your pack is such great idea!
If ever sadness or anxiety overcomes you, go to the forest. Open your eyes wide and in every tree, in every bush, flower or animal you will see God's providence, which will give you comfort and strength.
Brilliant idea with the tent pegs for the grill. So obvious of a choice but yet not something I never thought of doing. Thanks.
I will warn you, if you try this. Finding a piece of ground that is perfectly uniform at all 3 points can be difficult. If one of the pegs is on a small root, you may find it tips over when adding weight as the stakes are driven further under ground. Or the ground may just be too soft at all. Source: I tried to build my own camp stove and disliked using tent stakes
Leave the tent pegs at home, four rocks work just as good or better. Your welcome.
i dont think it was his idea lol a few of these things are in the videos of alfie aesthetics. i think mike watches him. cant blame him, alfie is a bushcraft guru.
Bing bong and Thank You! Gonna try some of these out next time. I'll update you with any cheers.
Instead of tent pegs I use 3 12 inch shelf l brackets they fit great into my haversack
I feel like I learn something new every time I watch a TA OUTDOORS video. If nothing new learned at least u give me something new to think about or contemplate or improve what I already practice. Great job
The first tip about the Plow Point shelter is pure, simple genius...Keep up the great work.
The day just got a lot better
Have a great day. I was just waching your videos when this notification popped up
Mike i'm an intermediate camper and a lot of these were brand new ideas to me. I love them. Your presentation is so appealing and clear. Thanks!
This video is extremely well made in all aspects. Very professional, keep up the good work. It's very appreciated.
When using a bow drill put a few pieces of sand in the bowl. This increases friction, and produces a bit of wood dust, and that causes the fire to start quicker. I love the pencil sharpener.
When I get depressed, I always go for a bushcraft camping night in the woods. And your videos help me so much. God bless you!
This is amazing work. But what people may not realize is the extremely hard work of filming it all. Camera setup. Filming a movie. Then you go back to pick up your camera and clean myself up again. And then edit it all together. I myself have recently started making videos about bushcraft, so I really understand how hard it is. A beautifully made video shows that you really love what you do. Greetings from Belarus!
Is Putin still there??
Just love the 10in10 series!
Smartly put together... thanks for sharing all the tips
Great tips as always, and you explain them in clear language so everyone can know how they work and why.
I have just started kayaking and wild camping in the UK and am learning so much from you. As a complete beginner its a good job im never too far away from civilization!! In the future i hope to expand my adventures. Keep up the excellent content.
100% one of the reasons I watch this channel. Thank you for the information. Your amazing. I wish I could backpack with you either over there or here in Michigan.
videos like this make it more obvious we need to all work as a collective race, and share knowledge of all things. some great lil tips here for sure. thank you for the time.
I love these videos so much! Especially when they are a day before my birthday! But have you ever considered taking part of a survival show like Alone?
Finally a series better than Netflix 👍
If you are using a sack, I strongly suggest sewing along each to strengthen the bottom and sides with a simple overcast stitch wrapping over the edge. It stops the contents or rough ground wearing or cutting through the sack material. We used to do this with farm sacks many years ago and any tough natural twine will do it. Dont use man made twine or it will cut the natural sack fibres.
Subscribed. Good ideas that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Smart sensible stuff
I’m going on my first big camping trip next year, and these tips are so valuable and I’m so gratified I found this channel!
Loving these 10 in 10 deliveries marra 👍
Hessian sacks also a pillow substitute, prefilter for water and a strip cut off can make a bandage to secure a gauze.
Can you do a video on useful bushcraft knots, I wood love to learn different knots. lovely video by the way.
That last tip you seemed to be overwhelmed by ants in your work area. Great content as always, love the way you are able to calmly explain concepts.
The 10 tips in ten minutes are are great addition to the old progs but please don't stop your longer ones!
Man..I have seen so many "survival/camping tips" videos with similar titles like yours..but yours is the best by far and saying far I mean exoplanetary far!!You obviously have the experience and deliver exactly what you say in the title..amazing video and great tips..excellent my friend..well done..I will definitely be your follower..all the best!!!
I absolutely love this guy and his family do in shelters teaching us new things new ways to get back in contact with nature Would love to see you go out in the forest maybe without any tools and you a survival challenge or something
The pencil sharpener is a great idea, I've used them in my kit for years. But what I find most useful is one of those sharpeners that are made inside their own reservoir to hold the shavings. On a hot, dry day I'll take a bone dry twig and shave it down until the reservoir is filled to the top with shavings. Nice, dry, ready to spark shavings! A good way to carry some extra tinder.
Brilliant tips Mike. Great to see that burlap sack on a pole ( I hadn't seen this portrayed in many years). Nice use of those tent pegs. ❤
Hello 👋 my outdoors friend, greetings from Northern California. Sincere thanks for sharing the many vital outdoor tips. All the best to you for your good health and safety. 🤗
Brilliant as ever. Thanks for sharing these ingenious tips. So easy but so effective. Awesome 👍
Hey don't forget to pack along a bag of Laundry lint out of the drier when you roll up those nice warm clothes from the laundry. That way you can have a super easy way to Stay warm out in the Woodlands.. dry warm clothes and a quick kindle 🔥 for the camp. Enjoy!😀
Love the content and you never know when you need to use these skills. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

Thank you. In this particular time your videos really help to calm my mind
A lot of "WELL DUH! Why didn't I think of that?" tips. Awesome job, thank you.
Nice! Quick, thorough, and well explained information delivered to our door with the fat trimmed off. Perfectly to the point and perfectly demonstrated visually. Condenced information refined and defined.
I am a teacher and I love using your videos in class. My students love them
Great video my friend. As always. I would love to know how many people are now thinking, "damn, why didn't I think of that"? I've spent many hours over countless trips, chasing my tarp from the wind, all the while never once thinking about securing it to my pack!!! That's why I enjoy yours, and a few other' channels. No matter how old we are, or how much time we have spent in the wilds, there is always one more thing to learn. Thanks for sharing. Be well. Be safe. Happy trails.🪓🛶 From Colorado, Roger

Here's a Tip: look up what a Buddy Burner is. It's a great style of portable easy campfire that you make with rolled up cardboard soaked in wax and shove the roll into a metal container.
Well after you make it you can keep filling it with chunks of hard wax while it's burning and it will last you for agessss literally ages. It takes forever to burn down and all you need is to carry a significant amount of wax with you. One huge thick candle cut into small pieces to can fuel your fire for 6 hours non stop very easy, provided your buddy burner is the size of a tuna can or similar.
I make them tea light candles (with cardboard rolls 2x taller than the metal rim) and they last 6 hours if I keep feeding, to have campfires in the woods in the park near a lake for just enjoying my night before riding my electric bike back home. It's the easiest way to make a campfire if you live a city where campfires are not allowed as you're not burning wood but are burning wax. It's basically a candle so cops are cool with it mostly and should be fine.
Make sure to never pour water in it when it's burning though, as it creates an explosion of napalm burning wax splattering everywhere basically. Be very careful with that.
It's reusable so super good for campfires.
Very, very nice and useful. I admire your skills and knowledge and I am thankful that I learn new stuff.
Just noticed this video. Lol 10 tip in 10 min, 10 days ago... 10 X 10 X 10.....
Thank you for the videos, both you and your dad's channels are really good.
Tight lines!
Thank you very much ! Some tips are really perfect …From France .

A good video!! Thanks, Henry!!
Another great video with plenty amazing tips, will keep these in mind when I’m next out and about! Thanks again for sharing your vast knowledge
Cool
The area in the forest where you live in the trees is so wonderful
When are you coming to Sweden to learn some more about this climate? I'd love to see that!
I haven't read all the comments so this may be a repeat. The sack that you used looked like what we call where I come from a burlap bag. My grandfather used to use them instead of a basket or stringer to keep his catch alive in the water. (Fish)
Learning lots from your vids as new to it all
Thanks Mike, that was very informative and interesting....
Thank you, Mike!
Love these videos. Really relaxing to watch and full of brilliant top notch tips! Thanks man!
good stuff my guy... keep em coming
We thank you and so does mother nature
