Love this! Question - if you're always testing new products, how can you tell which one causes a skin reaction if something doesn't work for you? How long do you wait in between testing new products?
I test new products one at a time and a skin reaction usually will be noticeable after the 2nd/3rd time I use it. For me, my skin gets very sensitive and can start to sting.
Thank you so much! I get acne rosacea breakouts on my chin sometimes, and have never been able to figure out which ingredients are triggers for me. It makes trying to incorporate anti-aging and/or asian beauty skincare products into my routine tricky, especially when I watch videos and so many things look amazing.

I am terrified of the dessert climate, and what it will do to my skin! I have already purchased some of the products you recommend and am loving them. After years of spending so much money on empty promises, the products and tips you offer are a breath of fresh air. Your advice on layering "emulsions" has made a huge difference for me. Have you tried the biore uv aqua rich watery essence? It's THE lightest sun screen I've ever tired. It's sinks in as soon as you apply it and I've never had a better sunscreen
i remember Rene mentioned it in a video for sunscreen, and thats how i found this amazing sunscreen, really so much better than the Paulas Choice sunscreens, coz its absorbed so quickly and perfectly, leaving no white cast, also good for makeup! :)

It really was an awesome year for skincare! (Seemingly one of the ONLY good things about the darn year...) Stand outs for me that I bought on your recommendation were the All Clean Balm, Sum 37 MRCS, and Hada Labo Hyluronic Acid! Love those guys! Other favs skincare wise would have to be Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask (think you'd love it!) Fresh's Seaberry Oil, Cover FX invisible sunscreen, and Lyeska's Siberian Nut Moisturizer! I just want to say that you have changed my skin care game immensely. I will soon be adding some of your recommended products to my routine, but I have just today adopted your philosophy with the few products that I already have (which as of right now is nothing but a very gentle cleanser, simple oil, and moisturizer, unfortunately). When I got out of the shower, I splashed some cool water on my face and allowed it to stay moist, because I don't have a hydrating toner. Then I took a few drops of jojoba oil and gently patted it into my damp skin. Then I patted in a thin layer of my usual CeraVe moisturizer (which is okay, but maybe not perfect for my needs). I think I already notice a difference in my skin, at least initially. I'm going to keep it up!

Have you tried the Fresh Herb Origin Serum from Natural Pacific? It's apparently a really popular product in South Korea that's supposed to repair damaged skin. So thank you for taking the time to do this! I only started with a serious regimen in Sept. mostly Korean brands. I would have to say one of my favorites is the Iope Plant Stem Cell Emulsion. It leaves my skin feeling velvety and when I combine it with the Mizon Black Snail All in One cream...by morning my face is smooth and soft. I could go the whole day without putting anything on and my face is still hydrated. Many sick days lately so not just slacking. Anyways, so glad to see a video from you and luv luv luv your nails!

2017 favorites: That Beauty of Joseon Dynasty cream is one of the best things I've ever put on my face. I have combination oily, my T-zone is like an oil slick, so finding an occlusive that has oils but leaves my skin soft, bouncy, hydrated and NOT greasy? I use it with my oil-free moisturizer from Cosrx (my best Korean friend) and I actually feel for once that the hydration I get from my essences and toner are both boosted AND protected from the cold winter outside. My favorite of favorites is my pore corset serum, which actually has a difference on my pore size but more importantly, reduces the oil production in my t-zone. I also has klairs new toner, and I've just about decided that I don't need to purchase another hydrating toner ever again cuz it's everything I need. 2016 has been good to my face. 2017 will be even better.

Have you tried the biore uv aqua rich watery essence? It's THE lightest sun screen I've ever tired. It's sinks in as soon as you apply it and I've never had a better sunscreen
i remember Rene mentioned it in a video for sunscreen, and thats how i found this amazing sunscreen, really so much better than the Paulas Choice sunscreens, coz its absorbed so quickly and perfectly, leaving no white cast, also good for makeup! :)

It really was an awesome year for skincare! (Seemingly one of the ONLY good things about the darn year...) Stand outs for me that I bought on your recommendation were the All Clean Balm, Sum 37 MRCS, and Hada Labo Hyluronic Acid! Love those guys! Other favs skincare wise would have to be Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask (think you'd love it!) Fresh's Seaberry Oil, Cover FX invisible sunscreen, and Lyeska's Siberian Nut Moisturizer! Your hair is soooo gorgeous in this video! I've recently discovered your channel and I have been binge watching! I am a skin care lover and I have loved learning about some of the asian products and ingredients from you! Look forward to maybe trying a few myself!
I just want to say that you have changed my skin care game immensely. I will soon be adding some of your recommended products to my routine, but I have just today adopted your philosophy with the few products that I already have (which as of right now is nothing but a very gentle cleanser, simple oil, and moisturizer, unfortunately). When I got out of the shower, I splashed some cool water on my face and allowed it to stay moist, because I don't have a hydrating toner. Then I took a few drops of jojoba oil and gently patted it into my damp skin. Then I patted in a thin layer of my usual CeraVe moisturizer (which is okay, but maybe not perfect for my needs). I think I already notice a difference in my skin, at least initially. I'm going to keep it up!

Have you tried the Fresh Herb Origin Serum from Natural Pacific? It's apparently a really popular product in South Korea that's supposed to repair damaged skin. So thank you for taking the time to do this! I only started with a serious regimen in Sept. mostly Korean brands. I would have to say one of my favorites is the Iope Plant Stem Cell Emulsion. It leaves my skin feeling velvety and when I combine it with the Mizon Black Snail All in One cream...by morning my face is smooth and soft. I could go the whole day without putting anything on and my face is still hydrated. Many sick days lately so not just slacking. Anyways, so glad to see a video from you and luv luv luv your nails!

2017 favorites: That Beauty of Joseon Dynasty cream is one of the best things I've ever put on my face. I have combination oily, my T-zone is like an oil slick, so finding an occlusive that has oils but leaves my skin soft, bouncy, hydrated and NOT greasy? I use it with my oil-free moisturizer from Cosrx (my best Korean friend) and I actually feel for once that the hydration I get from my essences and toner are both boosted AND protected from the cold winter outside. My favorite of favorites is my pore corset serum, which actually has a difference on my pore size but more importantly, reduces the oil production in my t-zone. I also has klairs new toner, and I've just about decided that I don't need to purchase another hydrating toner ever again cuz it's everything I need. 2016 has been good to my face. 2017 will be even better.
