  • We are now day 8, Tom our plasterer will arrive tomorrow and skim the room out.
    We had a bit of a push on today to get it boarded and fit the window which we don't normally do, but........ due to me messing up the structural opening, I needed to rectify a few things before it was boarded.
    We are all good now though.
    The store is now practically boarded out and we are ready to clad the unseen external walls in the metal cladding.
    This was collected today from our supplier and we will have a little video for you tomorrow, showing a bit of the production line at Forgales, our supplier for metal cladding.
    Did you see the 6 digit number in the past videos? The burner phone is now live and you will need to message me just the 6 digit number on the WhatsApp please.

    The main reason we all (or most of us) leave gaps at bottom of boards, is originally to negate the issue of the board basically sucking up damp or water if there is ever a spill. Flood or leak on the floors, it was especially. Done in mainly kitchens and bathrooms, another tidbit for you😂👊👊🙏

    You probably already know but you can get a small foot tool that you slide under the plasterboard and when you stand on the tool the plasterboard lifts, saves you struggling to lift it and allows you to do it alone.

      I hate it, John used to use it, but it gets stuck on your boot and I end up smashing the board out of frustration, I can lift them, the rest think there an invisible force holding on to it😬

    I've just clicked on the link to buy some raffle tickets... how comes you have to sign in with Facebook, or create a Facebook account ?
    Also, I clicked on "How we draw the winner" it says if you've got the correct answer to question or puzzle you're entered in to the draw (paraphrased)
    So buying a ticket doesn't automatically get you in the draw ? 🤔 haha I'm confused.

    • @jenbulmer
      @jenbulmer Год назад +1

      You have to rather create an account with them using your email address but it’s just quicker using your Facebook, think it’s just to make the sign in quicker, when you buy a ticket you have to answer a question.. the answer is obviously Apple.. it’s easy I’m not sure why they make you answer a question but it’s worth entering I guess..😊

    Nicely explained! Prompted some further questions though!.... when installing your windows, how long is the cill to account for the double battens and cladding (mine will be 130mm from the membrane on the wall) ... and how then would you clad the return so you don't see the "air gap" battens? Would you trim the window opening out to the battens so you can attach a trim? Sorry for all of the questions!!!

    • @nickgriffin637
      @nickgriffin637 Год назад

      130mm from membrane? That's huge. What are you using as cladding? Upvc windows have a 180mm cill you could use. Ali windows can use a 190mm cill.
