- We are now day 8, Tom our plasterer will arrive tomorrow and skim the room out.
We had a bit of a push on today to get it boarded and fit the window which we don't normally do, but........ due to me messing up the structural opening, I needed to rectify a few things before it was boarded.
We are all good now though.
The store is now practically boarded out and we are ready to clad the unseen external walls in the metal cladding.
This was collected today from our supplier and we will have a little video for you tomorrow, showing a bit of the production line at Forgales, our supplier for metal cladding.
Did you see the 6 digit number in the past videos? The burner phone is now live and you will need to message me just the 6 digit number on the WhatsApp please.

I love how John says thank you at the end of his bits. What a ledge...
He does what to get the plasterboard out?!?😂 (sorry). Loving the series
Raffle entered, voted on the form too. Another great video Liam keep up the great work.
You should buy a board lift for plaster-boarding makes it 100 times easier wicked videos 👍🏻
Dust masks guys 🏴👍
fisher price chop saw comes in handy
Just voted for you , best of luck .
Brilliant video guys, a couple of things
John "let me get hd on" his glasses 😂😂😂😂😂
That pod is amazing Liam.
Keep up the great work guys.
Good morning I’m Cape Town
I'm going to watch extra hard to look for this number now
Better chances than the lottery though 🙂
Thanks for another amazing video. We don’t want these to end.... I forgot John said series two build is coming ah ha 😂🎉
Thanks Brendan (face full of sawdust) proper cracked up at that.
The main reason we all (or most of us) leave gaps at bottom of boards, is originally to negate the issue of the board basically sucking up damp or water if there is ever a spill. Flood or leak on the floors, it was especially. Done in mainly kitchens and bathrooms, another tidbit for you😂👊👊🙏
Why do you not use foil backed plasterboard instead of the time consuming plastic sheeting?
Great video yet again 👌🏼
You probably already know but you can get a small foot tool that you slide under the plasterboard and when you stand on the tool the plasterboard lifts, saves you struggling to lift it and allows you to do it alone.
I hate it, John used to use it, but it gets stuck on your boot and I end up smashing the board out of frustration, I can lift them, the rest think there an invisible force holding on to it😬
That’s the raffle ticket bought 🎉
Keep creating the vids 👍🏻
Good luck to how every wins the hammer Liam love the video
Thank you Oakwood Garden Rooms!
watch episode 9
We love to see our Foreclad sheeting range being put to great use! Keep up the good work! 😊
@@foregaleif you’re the supplier of the cladding on the back of Liam’s pod, can you send me details of the name of this cladding, pricing and delivery please? Need it to be delivered to Hampshire though…
If the pod doesn't come with John I want my money back.
Oh! I've got the same underfloor heating control panel, still can't figure out how to use it though so I hope that's an explanation for that 👍
Got the app but even the kids can't figure it out 🤣
Can I use the same method as shown here for installing a PVC Window ? My window is 1400mm wide , is silicone gonna hold it on its own w/o fixing the bottom of the window to the sill as shown in the video?
I've just clicked on the link to buy some raffle tickets... how comes you have to sign in with Facebook, or create a Facebook account ?
Also, I clicked on "How we draw the winner" it says if you've got the correct answer to question or puzzle you're entered in to the draw (paraphrased)
So buying a ticket doesn't automatically get you in the draw ? 🤔 haha I'm confused.
You have to rather create an account with them using your email address but it’s just quicker using your Facebook, think it’s just to make the sign in quicker, when you buy a ticket you have to answer a question.. the answer is obviously Apple.. it’s easy I’m not sure why they make you answer a question but it’s worth entering I guess..😊
@@jenbulmer OK, thank you, Jen.
👍
Liam, question on that window. What screws did you use to fix it in? 100mm or Tec? Thank you! Ant
Nicely explained! Prompted some further questions though!.... when installing your windows, how long is the cill to account for the double battens and cladding (mine will be 130mm from the membrane on the wall) ... and how then would you clad the return so you don't see the "air gap" battens? Would you trim the window opening out to the battens so you can attach a trim? Sorry for all of the questions!!!
130mm from membrane? That's huge. What are you using as cladding? Upvc windows have a 180mm cill you could use. Ali windows can use a 190mm cill.
@@nickgriffin637 33/1000 profile plasticote steel sheeting, so the combined Barton's and max height is 130/132mm
Where can we purchase the rod system from Liam?
Question regarding running cat 5 alongside steel armoured cable in the same conduit.. can you do it?
So annoyed I've missed the number 😬😵
I don't understand why you cut the downright holes before the ceiling is skimmed? Most sparkys would do this after. Also, it's best to use a DADE so you are not inhalling plasterboard dust.
I really don't get the ear defender/breathing mask brigade. I personally enjoy seeing an old school builder just cracking and getting it done
@@nickgriffin637 🤣
@@Tom_Prendiville it's true. When I see lads on site looking like they've just done a persil washing powder advert I want to dip them in the mixer! But then I'm old and miserable 😂
Is the burner phone registered on Whatsapp? Have texted a 6 digit number as WhatsApp doesn't seem to want know.
it is mate, had loads of entries,
@Oakwood Garden Rooms yeah, well - helps to use the correct number. You would never figure I worked for a telecoms business. Probably best I don't win the hammer as I'd only damage myself 🤣
Can't use that number from ireland Liam
really? ive had What'sapp today from Spain?
I've added the number into my phone and tried to search on WhatsApp, not coming up
What about SMS Liam?
have you tried a text message?
I've sent both, could you let me know if it's gone through and I can tell people how to sort it please
Can you put up Jens number for us please❤
