Dear Thomas Sheridan, thank you for this. I just thought to mention, since your work has been such a rich source of creative thought for me... I just released something I've spent 6 months up a mountain in Wales making and perhaps it will serve to return the favour. It's a talk and accompanying film called, retrospectively, "How To Win Your Freedom" and "The Many Faced Wanderer". I'm not saying that to promote it, the simple act of completing a huge work is satisfying enough, but, well, it refers in many ways to your work, though in different terms.
    Thanks for the inspiration,
Jess Watson, a travelling man parked in Pembrokeshire, looking toward the Emerald Isle.

Wonderful VoN, Thomas. I wholeheartedly agree with you on how the best horror is what's in the implication, what eldritch demon does your mind conjure when you see it in your imagination. King's short stories are a great example of that. The Lurking Fear by Lovecraft as well.

Thomas, I have never dreamed about technology even smart phones but 5 or so years ago I did and it was a localized astral projection sort of deal hovering around a version of my waking location and in this state I was using the device as a “ghost viewer” and I used it to locate ghosts or spirits or astral denizens etc. A few years later it happened again the same function. Popular thinking suggests that people don’t dream about their phones even tho it is like another appendage, which is my experience generally, but still kinda strange when you think about it. Anyway I share this just in case it’s useful in some way and because I’m curious what others have experienced as well. Great VON. Thanks as always!

Richard Carpenter's 80's Series, Robin of Sherwood, beautifully illustrates how the Normans burnt the Wicker structures of common Villagers. These structures would likely contain livestock and farmed stores. The Wickerman Burning sacrifice trope seems likely a projection onto the victims. Rather than appease some deity, Bog Bodies, may have been to permanently preserve a record of criminality.

Shamanic visonary experience is the same as DMT/LSD/DXM-etc "induced" visions, but it's just a trigger or portal-key usage and doesn't work without the level of awareness to have real visions. However it's induced, it's amazing, and people now probably mentally rely too much on drugs for this. It IS possible to have these experiences spontaneously or from many ancient practices.

My latest theory on how the npc became extant. After the sinking of Atlantis the survivors wanted a method of determining the future so to never be caught out again and they set about a vast engineering project. They became so absorbed they became consumed by the work becoming the first workaholics. As people died before the projects were finished they became anxious that it took a lifetime to acquire the necessary skills to perform certain tasks and sort means of extending a persons life well beyond their years. Unfortunately this resulted in the person's soul departing and leaving behind an animated corpse much like Frankensteins monster, and these became the first proto meat golems, and in this way the machines that were used to predict the future were able to be completed. All this was done in the Silver Age, the Golden Age having ended with the sudden disapeerence of Atlantis some 14,000 years ago perhaps, and so sometime around then the pyramids were built and the future could be known.
But now there was evil in the world from the demonic entities brought from the abyss to undertake the work and provide instruction in completion and use as carried over from the original living engineers. A method of intense training was devised to get people to the required skill levels to be able to perform complex tasks at an early enough age so as to provide enough years of service before they died.
By the end of the Silver Age, although the future was known, the powers were in the hands of the npc. Enter Arjuna and Krishna and the great war. After this war the npc was defeated, and the machines they controlled destroyed, but the future while remembered was written down in many languages and told in many tongues. We are now in the Bronze Age, an age of secret societies and mystery schools in a bid to keep the sacred knowledge from once again falling into the hands of the npc who while defeated was more numerous. In this time we see them once again infiltrating into all levels of society and a series of civilisations rising, becoming infiltrated, then falling, till finally the last civilisation of the Bronze Age becomes the first civilisation of the Iron Age, the Roman Empire and Christianity.
Finally it comes to be realised that the npc cannot be destroyed directly, for any systemic approach can be hijacked and taken over by the npc. And finally it is realised that the npc will never "awaken" and no words, no experience, no revelation can cause them to see the error of their ways, for when they are told to look in the mirror there is no reflection, and no mirror, no matter how polished will remedy that. Only by seizing such efforts and attempts to educate and enlighten them is there the first rays of the Luciferian moment that presents the possibility of the complete collapse of the psychopathic control grid and banishment to the abyss of those entities that were mistakenly brought up as a result of the traumatic event at the end of the last Golden Age. The new knowledge is to deploy only that knowledge which is learned over a lifetime and accept that we can never know the future to such a desired degree of accuracy. But we can have enough materialism to be entertained by it, and not so much as to be enslaved by it.
