I agree about the flowchart thing. My brain is a pesky combination of wanting to be accurate and also jumping and skipping all over the place. It’s the most common reason I reset boardgames four rounds into them. Thanks for the lovely playthrough!
Blatant disregard for bovine life…😮. Surprised Greenpeace and Peta didn’t shut your channel down. Great review. I was looking for really light in a solo. I mean like Orchard (which I can’t find strange enough) or “A Gentle Rain”. This isn’t super intense, looks like fun, so maybe this. Can you think of any “soothing” games? Sidebar - did you see TenHundred’s tee entitled “Clever Girl”? I like the humor.
Yeah, I think Orchard is currently OOP. :c UFS is quite a bit heavier than that or A Gentle Rain, but I still think it could be considered "light" if you do a basic scenario. For other soothing games, I definitely gravitate towards "x and draws/writes" from Railroad Ink all the way down to Criss Cross, but that's a very personal thing. Other games would probably include things that are just cards with a lot of shuffling, like Onirim, Finished!, or For Northwood! Crystallo and Squire for Hire def both have Orchard tile-laying relaxy vibes, so they may be worth checking out! And hellllll yeah. I actually just finished putting together the Last Supper puzzle; same order, got the "Hush" t-shirt. It might be my favorite shirt design of his, though it's not a black shirt and I'm worried I'll ruin it. 😅
@@tabletoptokki Thank you Tia! A lot of nice options here to look into. Really appreciate the help! Take care! PS Adding an edit: I went back to Ten Hundred site. I totally bypassed “Hush” because it IS a cream colored, and I absolutely would destroy something that color on the first outing. But love the artwork. Very cool! Appreciate you sharing his stuff through the channel (now I have to find some Kwanchai Moriya tees! 😆)
Haha I had that in print & play which I liked a lot but when I saw this video with these great components and campaign mode I instantly bought the game! :)
Yessssssss! Such an excellent implementation/ expansion on a really solid PnP game! Love that this is becoming more popular for a lot of smaller titles these days so they can get out to a wider audience. :D
Wow, I have been sleeping on this one! I know, I know - everyone's always saying how great it is but I never felt the need to check it out before. Your video sold me on it, though, looks like a really fun, tense puzzle and the components are excellent. Looking forward to it arriving!
@@tabletoptokki I just finished my first game - so freaking fun! I definitely made some rookie mistakes (placing dice on spaces where I couldn't pay the energy for them happened a couple times) but I couldn't be more excited to play more. Totally blown away by the amount of replayability in the box too, and that's not even considering the campaign stuff. Just wow!
I have not! (sadly :c) Tbh, it's been difficult to find time to play solo games for non-content purposes as of late, but I will get through it eventually! 😬
How long did you wait before stepping into the campaign? After you won 1 round of Roswell? Or after playing a few rounds of the other basic base cities?
I admittedly haven't started a campaign yet, but that will certainly be my next venture with this game! Too many games & too little time! 😅 For reference, I've played the starting city for Rosewell once on training mode + three times at normal difficulty and feel prepared to jump in whenever time allows! 😊

I also jump between things when there are just blocks of text and no visual flow. 😅🤗
The best playthrough of the game! Thank you.
Aw thanks; glad you enjoyed it! 😊

@@StKnightis64 Ahhh yeah, my thoughts exactly on the light-colored shirt. It's a special occasions only type deal. 😅
Wow, you convinced me to try even harder to get this game, as it checks all those "John has to buy" boxes
Yes!!! It's so good; definitely pick up a copy! Great value for all the content packed into the box as well. 😁

@@lucnoei Yayyyy! Glad you are enjoying the game! Def takes a play or two to get the hang of it! Happy gaming! 😄
A very pleasant play through! Good job.
Thank you! 😊

Just ordered this today and was idly browsing through playthroughs. Shame about Bessie, but other than that, a nice job :D
Congrats on your purchase! Maybe you can avenge Bessie in your playthrough! 🤭
@@tabletoptokki unfortunately including not avenging Bessie, I kinda killed the whole Roswell. Wow this game is hard :D
@@nunt2 Ah, it's tricky at first, but you'll get the hang of it!!! Keep at it! 😉
Fs for Bessie and Bo….
They'll find each other in the cow afterlife, I'm sure... 😔
