They may recapture but cannot hold and sustain
It is actually even bigger waste - because combat capable units keep being burned for skirmishes instead of special operations and basically expose their combat capability
And this marks them as priority target in war of attrition

The clickbait titles are getting old. The frontline isn’t collapsing. The Russians are advancing successfully and more quickly than usual. They’ve taken good positions such as Selydove, and undertaken much bolder advances than usual such as the 8KM advance in the south.
If we went by headlines, Ukraine’s frontlines would have collapsed for the 40th time this year, the war would be over 40 times, and several positions would have fallen multiple times.
I’m in favor of Russia winning the war, but the clickbait titles discredit the channel.

Russian retired colonel Trukhan said best thing Ukrainians can do that'd be bad for Russia is to agree to Putin's request and withdraw from Donbass, then secretly rearm, so Russian military think Putin is way too soft, although he might be just pretending to be, few believed he'll dare to start smo even. But good thing that Ukrainians cooperate with Russian military and continue a war they can't win, the colonel said if they continue the Russians will reach Ukraine's Polish border.

Mystery: more fortifications means more people dispersed to watch them, this means fixing troops to the ground and renouncing to the chance of any kind of dynamic warfare, you just stay there and wait for the enemy to come. At this point was't better to retreat behind the Dnepr river and build on a more effective line of defense there?

    • @vladomachar6365

the first and basic thing you in the West must try to understand: Ukraine cannot defeat Russia. It cannot even defend itself against Russia on the long term. The NATO pact cannot defeat Russia, either... I have been trying for a long time to assess whether you are serious - whether you really believe in a Ukrainian victory ?! It seemed impossible to me that you are so detached from reality and arrogant... However, it seems that you are and that you have just begun to wake up from the bloody fairy tale you believed in. During that time, a huge number of Ukrainians died, but I don't feel sorry for them. They chose to serve the arch-enemy of the Orthodox Slavic nations... And after a long introduction, the short answer to your question - No... :). Whichever tactics Ukraine uses - it will lose the war and that by next summer at the latest. Best regards, all the best on a personal level!!!

Yes, the defense on the Dnieper line would be more effective. But that's not possible for a few obvious reasons.
      1) Ukrainian troops are engaged in continuous fighting almost all along the front line, if they start to retreat from the defense, which is under continuous pressure, it will turn into a chase for a victim, or more simply a mass slaughter.
      2) At the moment, it is in the Donbas that Ukraine has the most developed fortifications in terms of height difference. Further, the steppe extends on which to detain the Russians to escape from them is simply impossible, the Ukrainians themselves will not have time to leave for the Dnieper.
      3) The political leadership of Ukraine cannot give up half of the country without a fight, they will not let their NATO masters and Ukrainian Nazis who are a minority, but active and aggressive.
And the most important thing is that the care of the Dnieper does not give absolutely nothing. In 2022, Russia entered the Kiev region from the territory of Belarus bypassing the Dnieper. What's to stop it from doing so in the future, especially by defending the territories already captured by the Dnieper River?

@m3c4nyku43 Ukraine isn't a member of NATO. The criminal Russian invasion of Ukraine shows why Poland and the Baltic States joined NATO as a defence against Russian aggression. And why Sweden and Finland have just joined NATO. If Putin's purpose was to keep NATO away from Russian borders he failed miserably. Finland joining NATO extends the NATO border with Russia by 1,300 kilometres.
Putin's war has been a tactical, strategic, and propaganda failure.

    • @m3c4nyku43
      @m3c4nyku43 3 часа назад

@@GeorgePapadopolous It's very clear that I never said Ukraine was a member of NATO, that's your problem if you don't understand what I said.
Finland sued for peace after 3 months when the heavily fortified Mannerheim line broke, even though the Soviet generals weren't the best tacticians at the time, so Finland is basically just a slightly stronger Baltic country. Sweden and Finland were allied to "Berlin" and later Washington for a long time, it's no surprise they chose to show their true colors again.
You tried to do the same to Cuba were the USSR not willing to negotiate. Now USA doesn't want to negotiate mutual security anymore, so there's only one solution left.
Also, the dollar and US hegemony is declining day by day. 😉
