By word of mouth, a great friend invited me to try the Bible recap. It is an amazing journey through the scripture. And is helping me know more about where the joy is in our lord and savior!
This study has been a game changer for me. It challenges me to find God’s character in each passage. I used to only look for who I should or shouldn’t be and while the Bible is to help us live holy Christ-Centered lives it is mainly about who God is. How God is faithful, loving and just. By taking the focus off of me and onto God has helped me so much.
One verse that I think is wrongly used is 1 Peter 3:15: But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. I have heard this verse cited as the only occasion to share your faith or preach the gospel to someone--that we should wait to be asked by the unbeliever. The context of the verse is suffering for your faith and being ready to answer for your hope in suffering. There are many scriptures that tell us as believers to initiate sharing the gospel, for example, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (ref. Mark 16:15). See also Romans 10:14-15, Luke 24:46-49, Matthew 28:18-20. The gospel of Christ is for every person! It is our privilege and responsibility as believers to go and tell.

Read KJV and use a strong’s concordance
Try Bible Recap. I think you'll love it. KJV & Strong's are very good, but TBR may be surprisingly valuable for you.
