@@JustChandlr First off, it's a joke. Had to give a name that's associated with the show. Second, hIs name is the first one in the credits as the creator of the show. How much of an impact that means, who the hell knows
The only clones Dee Bradley Baker doesn’t voice are the young ones and Omega. His range as the Bad Batch is truly excellent. Clones remember what they do while under Order 66, except for Tup in Clone Wars but he was in and out of it because his chip was malfunctioning. Wrecker’s doll Lula is a tooka cat. You guys are quite familiar with the sub species loth cats Lama Su is the prime minister. Nala Se is the female scientist who Omega was the assistant to.
Dee Bradley Baker is a bigger legend than most know in the animation and game space. Seriously, his credited roles are nuts. Every animal voice in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Legion in Mass Effect, Wesker in Resident Evil, every clone in Clone Wars, Bad Batch and most of the more recent games like Battlefront II, and so, so many more. If you're ever curious, just go look at his career. It's nuts how many times he's been in something and you just never knew it or couldn't recognize him, the guy's vocal range is phenomenal. Another prime example? Him playing the Flood/Gravemind in Halo - half the sounds you hear from the thing aren't post-processing, it's nuts to see him just make those noises during line readings in behind the scenes audio booth clips.
I absolutely love the fact that when Hunter picks Omega out of the hole, the first thing he does is look her over for any injuries. Subtle touches like that just really sell how much he cares about her and how much of a dad figure he is
This episode was definitely insane. Admiral Rampart made his first physical appearance and Crosshair became commander of the first four stormtroopers. The Empire really wants to dispose the clones.
Forget it, if you watch their other reactions you'll see that most of them are too dumb to connect any dots or they ignore certain parts that tell you what's going on, plus you can tell that they barely paid attention in school when it comes to history related content. This is one of the worst reaction channels I've seen on youtube.
Ever since I played Jedi Survivor, I can't stop thinking about Bode Akuna every time I see Vice Admiral Rampart on screen (they're played by the same actor). The reason Omega has such a distinctive accent (and pronounces her name with a long "E") is because the actress who voices her is a native of New Zealand, so she's speaking with an authentic accent.
Fun Fact: War Mantle (the project mentioned by Tarkin and Rampart) is one of the projects listed by Jyn Erso in Rogue One along with Stardust (Death Star project).
I never thought I’d feel this way but looking back at some of these episodes is starting to feel nostalgic just like clone wars. I think this show aged well just like that one minus the filler episodes of course
True. There are a few accents in NZ, the actor playing Omega has the typical accent, there are those that have a type of Australian accent, there's the Maori accent and the cultured accent.
@@DUBSandChubb You can tell Temuera's accent is NZ Maori. Baker in the beginning tried to do an NZ accent, but it wasn't that good, it sounded more like an accent of a demented Australian. Baker is American and it shows in his Bad Batch accents.
The Bad Batch and Andor are the only Star Wars projects that made the Empire feel like viable threats. Obviously Andor mores than BB, but I appreciate both portrayals
Congratulations to Marketa and Chris! Welcome Gungan Thunder Jr! This was such a great establishing episode. I love the relationships being laid out, and Omega finding her place in the team. DBB is amazing, isn't he? And apparently he goes back and forth between the characters in the sound booth as he performs the lines. It totally blows my mind.
9:38 Anybody who says The Bad Batch is only a kids show doesn't know what they're talking about. 10:35 Yes they just did a mass execution of civilians. The Bad Batch is dark and that's why it's so good.
I love Ramparts voice actor, he also voiced Bode in Jedi Survivor and one of the best characters in gaming history, Charles Smith in Red Dead Redemption 2. He's such a good actor/voice actor
If the Bad Batch was played by differet actors in live action my cast would be Silvester Stallone as Hunter, Jason Statham as Crosshair, Mark Strong as Tech and Dave Bautista as Wrecker.
Well, he's not wrong, the Stormtroopers become an army that unlike anything the galaxy has seen. They are so terrible it's hard to believe the Empire managed to last as long as it did.
In Australia it is mostly skedule, but it isn't high class, it is common. The British way is the upper class way. I don't care, I use the British way, I try not to use pronunciation common among Americans because it sounds crass to me. No offense. And it is no wonder British accents are so admired by Americans.
@Ponto-zv9vf There are _some_ words where the American way sounds better than the British - just not many. The America-English versions of words often sound incorrect to me, but every so often there are words where the British pronunciations give me that feeling instead, and "shedule" is one such example.
IDK why Suraj thinks Omega has to have some kind of "ability." She's a clone, not an X Man lmao. Really enoying the reactions to the tonal shift from Rebels.
@dwnkaomwn3953 Because she doesn't lmao. The rest of the Batch were engineered to be specialists. Omega however is just the same as Boba Fett. Exceptional genetically and ages slower than other clones but not superhuman. The only hints of anything more are in season 3, there's literally no reason so far in the show to think she's anything more than a smart kid with natural talent. Especially nothing like the ability to talk to animals like freaking Doctor Doolittle.
To be fair when the show first came out there were plenty of people who assumed that Omega has some sort of special abilities which is why she'd be so important.
Not the "this is not a kids show" spiel again, please. It never comes across that people are thinking of kids as anything other than Barney the Dinosaur watching 5 year olds when they lock them out of the 'really good, deep and/or dark kids media' box. Just stop.
No matter WHAT situation I was in, I would *never* kill another person just because I was told to. My morals, beliefs, and principles always come first. I'll never understand anyone who can do something evil/bad/wrong/unethical/immoral just because they're told to. Even if you're threatened with death, fuck it, every innocent life matters just as much as yours. And how could you want to live if you're a murderer now? "Orders" don't excuse anything.
Crosshair is the only good/compelling thing about this show. His scenes throughout most of the series are the only ones with real weight and depth imo. The concept of the Empire instantly wanting to get rid of their entire army right off the bat is a horrible writing idea and their rationale of said idea in show is even dumber... EU treatment did it way better... The accelerated aging process getting rid of some, the clone rebellion getting rid of quite a bit plus their source on Kamino, and the remaining able bodied and approved clones who blindly chose to stay in service sticking around to fight well into the reign of the Empire, giving basic training to conscripts along with advanced training to special forces within the Imperial ranks. This show is just a basic go to this planet for this quest etc etc... Filler after filler... Annoying Omeeeega being the best one out of the bunch because of course she is, she has to be the real star... The writers wrote in a female clone for one reason only... When they could've had Daniel Logan come in as a series regular and given him a really cool opportunity to develop a proper clone youth under the protection of his older brothers... Story background: He could've been bullied by his clone youth squad and found true family and belonging with the Bad Batch... Doesn't make sense to have a female clone out of a million actual clones of a male. Even though it's Star Wars, scientifically it makes no sense that there'd be a female clone from a male template and tactically speaking, it makes no sense to purposely genetically alter one to be female either... Call me what you want, but Omeeeega is a woke insert for the sake of forced female inclusivity so there wouldn't be an all male cast for a Disney show.
apart from making her a girl instead of a guy, the effect of Omega's "favourable mutation" is not very obvious, certainly not as extreme as talking to animals ; p
We are up to episode 11 on our website!! Check it out now! thenormies.com/
And the Doctor Sleep reaction?
WHEN?
Thee monster anime
the delivery when Crosshairs said "I believe you..." was so cold and good
The writers asking Dave Filonig "Do you want this episode to be dark or wholesome?"
Filoni "Yes"
Disney: "is this show for kids?"
Filoni channelling George Lucas: "absolutely"
@@callummiles2566 Star Wars is "suitable for all audiences", not "only for kids".
why does everyone say dave filoni, HE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS SHOW 😭

Admiral Rampart is voiced by the same person who played Bode in Jedi Survivor.

THEY'RE NORMAL PEOPLE.

It's not a show for children.

It’s crazy watching Dee Bradley baker live read for this at cons and stuff, because he just talks to himself 😂
Been a while since I watched this ep, but wasn't Wrecker feigning a headache so he could stay on board and make the room up for Omega?
I'm from Ireland. Irish-English is mostly like British-English. But it is *NOT* "shedule", I hate that too 😂

wrecker's complaining about his head was worrisome to me bcoz of the inhibitor chip.....
