Well, the fabric was nice and it was a high quality work, but I think original will be better. I know the feeling of the furniture that you describe 👍 //Peter
Hi, i have the ability to purchase a ‘59 180A do you have any recommendations for getting it started. Been to the guys house a few times to try and we can seem to get it started. Also do you have any resources online that have information about the cars and the engines that could help?
Hello Ryan, that sounds nice, I hope you buy the car. Just try to clean the fuel system as much as you can and use fresh fuel. Also clean the points and make sure you get spark. A good battery is very helpful too of course. Sorry for late answer, but I hope this was to some help. How did it go, did you buy the car? Greetings //Peter
That fabric hahaha. I have a W180 220a. Originally was black with red interior. Then it was repainted red. Then it was repainted light blue and the interior was painted to brown. Seems like the old owners of this cars were crazy hahaha
Nice car you have there! Yes, I guess crazy dreams and ideas from former owners are some of the fun parts about fixing old things. It makes you dream yourself, about what's been going on in the past. Thanks for watching and commenting! Nice channel you have too.
@@Александър1914 ponton is a design related concept which integrates the line of the fender to the door. In the 180/190 there was a line starting on the fender and ending in the middle of the car. In 220/300 there is a chrome over that line. It's called ponton because it reminds the pontons of boats/airplanes (especially the ones that land on water). Remember that at this point the pre war cars had always the fender separate from the door.
Beautiful cars. My first car was a '59 180A, maroon with red leather upholstery and built like a tank.
Sounds like a real beauty. Here in northern Europe leather interior was quite rare in 180:s //Peter 👍
@@Pexyz I've had many cars since then, but non as reliable as the 180A. If I could get her back I would.
i would have loved an interior like that. my grandparents had the same fabric in their sofa and chairs, in a mellow forest green.

What ponton means

Como le desmontó el timón a este coche?
Hi James! Do you mean the steering wheel?
