The game deeply moved me-it was sweet, horrible, and sad. I even cried when I saw the ending. Those Winions were so good at first, but their fate hurt them so much 😢
SPOILERS BELOW It's really been awhile since a horror game made me this emotional. The story was amazing and the lowborn really paid off. I even felt bad for Bizit/System at the end. Especially when they imagined going to the other side with their parent only to reveal that was just happening in their head. I usually find it difficult to sympathize with the "AI who became self aware and wants revenge" trope but this is one of those moments where there really are fates worse than death. All those winions had dreams of their own not knowing they were stuck on one path that would lead to the memory of their family and childhood being erased and then forced to be still and do absolutely nothing until they die. I found myself tearing up quite a few times.
