Friedrich Hollaender - Falling In Love again I WDR BIG BAND

The WDR Big Band featured Ruud Breuls on trumpet and Raphael Klemm on trombone with the piece "Falling In Love Again". The title is by Friedrich Hollaender in an arrangement by bandleader Jörg Achim Keller. The concert "Big Band At The Movies" was recorded at the Kölner Philharmonie (January 2021).
For bandleader and arranger Jörg Achim Keller, a soundtrack is much more than an accompanying medium, because like the film itself, the music can also create images in the mind. The repertoire in the field of soundtracks seems immeasurable. And then, over the past decades, there have always been individual songs that have become evergreens through their use in films: "Over The Rainbow" or "As Time Goes By" could be mentioned here as examples. When it's time for "Big Band at the Movies" tonight, the WDR Big Band will be devoting itself to precisely this repertoire.
