ASC T-128 Tornado Siren Test - Alert - New Berlin, WI

- I was staying in the vicinity of Milwaukee for a few days before Sirencon, so I decided to record some sirens. The first option of the day was New Berlin. I was informed of a spot where you can get a nice shot of one of the T-128s, so I woke up earlier than I would've liked to and I recorded this 15 second test. Enjoy!

I noticed 2 things.
1. At 0:30, it looks like there is a CD logo on it!
2. Kinda sounds like a Whelen in alert.
That’s quite the shot, that’s a nice pitch too!
Nice! Love the water tower in the background
@O1S Yes. Ik
I love SWS🧍♀️
Skipped 10 seconds and thought I was listening to a whelen 💀
sounds like a whelen WPS-4004 and 2810 but with a chopper and a mechanical siren
My lord I thought it was a wheelen going off

Do a video of a ASC 121 Siren test at George West
Nice! I recorded one of these t-128s recently and it sounded like shit
If you put 0:75x it lagging💀💀💀💀💀
Sorry, but i prefer Thunderbolts, theres a T-128 a couple hundred feet from my house, and i can hear it loud and clear without my hearing aids, and with all my windows and doors closed and locked. My nextdoor neighbor works nights, sleeps days, and when test day comes around he would absolutely love to shoot that sucker for interrupting his sleep! And they claim you can only hear them outside?
Average non-enthusiast

If you live really close to one, you're gonna here it inside. Same case for me. I live down the road from a siren and I can here it crystal clear from inside. Just because they're not designed to be heard indoors doesn't mean you won't be able to hear it if it's close to you
@@kansasclocksandsirens when the derecho went through central Illinois on June 29th, i was watching the weather develop from my patio window. The sky was darker than my black cat, and when they blew the sirens, i about filled my britches with something. The emergency alert on my phone went off (twice), indicating tornadoes imbedded in the derecho. The cat made a beeline for his favorite hiding closet, and i should have done the same, but since i am a weather spotter, i continued watching the derecho. Fortunately, the town i live in didnt get pounded like others in the area did, but we had an EF-2 twister graze the north side of the town back on March 31st, nearly obliberating a nice upscale subdivision. And whats weird, is during/after those 2 weather events, the electronics that control the 4 T-128s, somehow fried themselves, and they all failed to activate for the following test day. Ours are tested the first tuesday of the month at 10 am, and i will be monitoring the one near me to report to the EMS coordinator whether it works or not.
@@kansasclocksandsirensI can hear most sirens that are 3-5 miles from my house indoors very well, especially the Whelens
