Morning session, still learning the capabilities of the Speed Triple, only clean lap I was able to get all day. The S1K's acceleration is pretty insane. #circuitoftheamericas
Missed a few apexes on this one and not pushing hard; this one is a 2:25-2:26 lap, so it matches the S1000XR's pace easily with a lot of room for improvement. No issues with overheating, the bike ran amazing all day. The afternoon was a mess and between rain, red flags and traffic, I couldn't get a clean lap. Looking to lap some 2:24s with it in the near future.
Tom he was for sure man, one of the fastest guys I saw that day, very smooth and consistent. His passing skills were on point too, I tried to stay with him a couple of sessions and he disappeared in front of me.
@@CubanRider i gotta ask. What kind of real world range are you getting on the speedy? Ive heard everything from sub 100miles to damn near 200 to a tank
Wow fantastic riding!! Are the brakes really that much better on the Triumph, or do you just have more experience?? You were really eating him up on the brakes!! He only managed to pass you above 150mph on a straight!! Keep up the good work!! Man i wonder what you could do with the Speed Triple RR
The brakes are excellent on the Triumph, but I have been progressively been better, and now I'm pretty good at judging how late I can brake for the 3 big braking zones in this track.
I’m curious what your 1200 RS is working with mods wise? I’ve got one and I have a full titanium racefit exhaust, k&n air filter, and flash tune. Curious how this track attack on the bmw compares to mine. Very well done video.
S1000rr is a supersport and 1200rs a naked bike. You are comparing different types of machines. S1000r would be the straight competitor of Speed Triple though.
@@CubanRider how's the new foot pegs? Do you find them better than the stock? I have HP as well. I see you are outbreaking other bikes. I swapped calipers from RR onto my XR and I find them much better. Just a thought for you
@@wesoly757 very nice. The HP stuff is top quality, I have them on the highest setting and I have tons of ground clearance now. I think the exhaust touches down before the footpegs do. Stock calipers work great, just more aggressive pads and ready to out-brake Panigales 😅
The way you just eat everyone on the brakes is truly amazing lol.
I have lower top speeds, so I guess braking late is not as scary, haha.

Now that was fun to watch, shows just what this bike is capable of. Excellent trail braking too.
That speed triple is amazing in high speed corners 🔥 and of course your driving skills add up to that!
This would have been an awesome counter steering explanation video. Movement of handlebar is so obvious! 😀
Still working on camera placements. I think this is not bad for front-facing, but the GoPro in front has to go, it's too distracting.
Now we see what the Speed Triple can do. ❤️🚀
It's really good on track!
Been studying Toprak on the brakes ? Respect man that was awesome !
Haha, the man is an inspiration.
Beasting!!! 🤙🏽💪🏽👊🏽🔥
Next video has some Panigale on it... I wonder what will happen 😅
@@CubanRider does it blow up?? Lol
Love how you out brake everything! The skills 😎
Thanks Dave! Next video should have a bit more action 😎
@@CubanRider Can't wait man 😁
Epic battle!!!
Man you had fun that day! Amazing you were able to stay ahead of him, he didn’t just have a faster bike, he was a legit rider!

no seaaaaas mamooooon,,, que sabroso suena esa triumph,,, turbo like bro... que buen video.
Suena lindo si, lastima que no se escuche nada con el ruido del viento. Tengo que ponerle una camara atras a ver si sale mejor el sonido.
Haha nice! Got my Speed after trading in the xr as I'm urban based now, partly on your vids 😝 great to see she's back in action! 1yr on loving it.
Damn dude. Lol thats some sick riding! Just owning that beemer in the corners!
Thanks Jace. I was still getting a feeling for it, but the bike is a weapon no doubt.

Great vid as always Mr. Cuban Rider.
Thanks TJ
Brutal!! La confianza que tienes al frenar es increible. Medir las distancias desde 170+ mph es increiblemente dificil

How is 172 in the open wind like that. Great riding as always
goals...
thats the RS wow

I think thats an M1000RR? WOW You showed him!
yes, it is.
He did well, but not as good as our hero (CR).
Ese tío de la BMW solo corre en recto!! Corredor de rectas, como decimos en España!!😂👍✋
The only thing that kept you in it is your supreme skill. If Cuban Rider was on that RR he would have left you behind. 👍🏻
I’ll say it again…. Cuban missile….
Love these videos. Any reason you ride a naked on track?
Why not! It's very competitive.
Q sonido tan suave y rico... Se nota ágil esa moto...
Bien ágil, el lento soy yo, jeje.
@@CubanRider jajaja no creo bro... Con el tiempo q tienes dándole en pista ya estás súper bien...
Increíble
👍🏻
Crazy how much harder he looked like he had to work compared to how you probably looked on the bike.
It realy feels at home on the track, doesn't it?
Imagine been on the back 😮
Last of the late brakers. As they say.
Tripple should be quicker out of the corners with it having more lowdown torque than the BMW
Wooowwww on the straight bye bye triumphy! Nothing compares to german machines, nothing

But in track there are not only straight lines
This track day had crazy fast machines, all sorts of Panigale, BMW and Aprilias around the 200hp mark, I was getting smoked on those straights
@@CubanRider spaghetti, BMW and lasagna. Only worthy italian is mv, and you would find it broken after a few laps. Yet not even close to the berliner
@@CubanRider btw, you are a HELL of a rider 👍 just be extra safe outside the track. Too many blind people driving
What year speed triple is this?
Wow I want your skills
I'm still working on it, little by little

On a naked doing 170 lol💪💪
My neck still hurts, ouch. lol
Yo it's 2up, is you bike flashed?
All stock, speed limiter removed.
@@CubanRider I got mine flashed I'll be posting a video Sunday on my channel 2 up
