The problem we have is that welsh history is totally ignored
At least David is helping us to remember the ancient history of our past. Since the damage brought about in the Thatcher years..our community and our young people do not have much hope. Drugs are rife- poverty and domestic violence..all brought about through neglect. David is so right about bringing tourism to our ancient land..why haven't this been done?! Well done David..its great in what you are trying to do. And who cares about the quality of sound? Put your phone to your ear..and you can hear what he says then.
Thank you David- A fasinating deep insight into our history and you are right it should be saved for the next generations.
Great detail, I have visited Capel Gwladys.... Now many more places to visit from your details. Thanks.
Our history must be saved.
Fantastic docu! Greetings from South Germany
Would love to meet this guy.
I met him in Bargoed a few times, he's very approachable, a gentleman.
Arthur went to The Fochrhiw area after the Battle of Mons Baddonicus. Free of the "Saxon " question he turned to the Irish question of S.Wales . Necessarily he was bound to local lowland forces of that area before moving to reduce independant Irish in arms
His journey Or better his lieutenants journey Theodore and Marcellus were despatched from Gloucester to Whitesands bay
Stopping at named places and losing 100 men each time. Fochrhiw Meidrim Caer Farchel.
" The Age Of Arthur " John Morris Weidenfield and Nicholson .This campaign is very well told by the Late John Morris
I’ve lived in the rhymney valley all my life and this is the first time I’ve heard the history of my surrounding area, completely fascinated.
Who is this guy who’s speaking ?
Intrigued to know and learn more of the history of where I live.
To answer your question, I met this man in Bargoed a few times. His name is David Walters. You may be surprised by how much history there actually is. The Rafa club in Bargoed goes back to the 16th century. A priest hole is said the be there during the religious persecution that took place during that time. David also told me personally that there is a Roman training ground in Bargoed 'Heolddu' Gelligaer common. I hope this helps Jordan. Check out ''David Walters'' he's quite easy to find.
Just imagine if this site of Internationally historic significance were in Salisbury or even Brecon Beacons and not the Northern most section of a county that wants to be Cardiff and couldn't give a shit what happens north of Ystrad Mynach?
I have lived in this area for many years and have never known any of this, pretty amazing stuff , i have heard before about every time, persons had tried to dig under the standing stone it would start to rain, and on google earth you can clearly see how everything was described in this documentry !
Such wanton neglect is shameful and would not occur anywhere else in the civilised world
Great,thanks.
If I may be so bold as to suggest a thought to preparation regarding mic placement and script for the next one?
I’ve heard of this story when I was a boy
HOW ABOUT YOU DOING INFO ON THE OLD CAPEL CHAPEL ON TIRPHIL MOUNTAIN AND THE CELTIC CROSS THERE AND THE ROMAN BURIAL STONE IN FIELD NEARBY
I made a short video of that area which may interest you.

Don't ruin the land .don't be racist. Beautiful scenery!
Hi Dave, I really need to talk to you. Can you please drop me a reply?
Hi, are you John Albert Jones son? The gentleman who was involved with Tryweryn?
This is all connected to the forensic historians Wilson and blackett researches
I can barely hear what you're saying with all the wind.
Coal not dole
Cymru am byth
draco coch
But it’s pronounced Brychan
How did you know what you say is all true ? You even quote 'words'which were supposedly spoken at the time. Start writing some more fiction stories which can then be embellished into Welsh history for the future !You did mention 'fairy stories' ! Stick to historical proof.
David handed out this DVD as an Independent Candidate during Town Council elections.
Our historical past is vital to our future.
But surely he would have been more productive if he had used the DVD to explain what he sees are the failings of our town council and county councilors. Not give a history lesson. He could have pointed out the lad on the motorbike.
Destroying the Common... But No.
David failed miserably to get over any point worthwhile during the elec.
As for King Arthur and Co.... Best left for The Fiction Section of any library I think.
It is The Future we must look to, yes, remember our past, but not let's neglect all else.
Sorry... An award of NO STARS
