I was under the impression by the title that you were going to give us a specific kind of flat iron brand and why you think it’s the best. Thanks for the info, although I’m a little disappointed at the misleading title
I think the point is that many flat irons fit the description as "the best". The best according to me may not be the same for you. I personally like an extra long cable lenth and teeth in my flat iron. Some people may be more interested in titanium plates and curved edges...
@@Blackhairinformation I agree “the best” may be different for everyone, the title of the video is just a little misleading that’s all. I appreciate all the info nonetheless.
She's not getting paid to promote a specific brand so... Thanks sis for the efforts you've put in to educating us about hair straighteners and allowing us the space to make informed choices when choosing the correct straighteners for ourselves!
I'm a flat iron junkie! I have ceramic irons, steam iron, irons with built in combs. I've had ceramic tourmaline but I have always stayed away from titanium because I keep hearing they damage the hair easier than the others, less forgiving. I want ahead and bought my first titanium iron last year and it has given me the absolute best results. It handled my roots like no other. One thing I did learn is that it needs to be used on a lower temp than ceramic irons. I have found that to be true. I can get straight results on a lower temp. 380 on a titanium iron is not the same as 380 on ceramic. Great video, subscribed!
I'm afraid of titanium irons too. I have dense, waist-length type 4 hair. I have a ceramic flat iron and I've tried using it on 410 but it only stays straight for like 30 minutes lol. I'm going to bump it up next time (430-450 deg) and see if that makes a difference. If not, titanium it is! 😂
i have been using ceramic since i started straightening my hair and i am always bummed at my end results. i just purchased my titanium, and i can’t wait to see if there will be a difference thanks for educating love
@@earthangel6858 i ended up getting salon results at home for the first time. it came out silky and flowy with a nice shine! i used 425 degrees and no heat damage!
Wow. That’s crazy. I can get bone straight results with a ceramic iron at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. But I have to flat iron in very small sections, use slow passes (one pass is all I need), and use a heat protectant. My silk presses last 3-4 weeks.
I use to use a babyliss ceramic flat iron . It got my hair straight but i had to use many passes in order to do it. I just bought my first titanium flat iron and i put the temp on a lower heat and it gets my hair straight in one pass
Personally I’m relaxed and 410 is best for me, yeah I can get away with 390 but if I want my straight hair to last I use 410 I have course and very thick hair naturally btw but it is relaxed even though it’s not completely straight even with the relaxer it’s more texlaxed
That’s interesting but it makes sense seeing as you have coarse hair. I really don’t need much heat to get completely straight but my hair is medium to fine and definite fully relaxed not texlaxed like yours.
I had damaged hair in my 40s due to years of relaxers by stylists with questionable ability / products and the use of high heat “Dominican blow dry”. I now relax and color every 16 weeks with a great stylist who uses the best and safest products on my hair and when I get it blow dry it’s always at low to medium heat followed by one pass hair straightener with excellent results. Please be careful with your thick beautiful hair . I wish I had been in my youth ✌🏽
I’m a little confused. You started with ceramic as number 1 but said for number 3 you said titanium and said it’s the best type of flat iron to have. I was under the impression that ceramic was the best one since you said it’s the most basic that we’d want our flat iron to be comprised of.

Huh, that's interesting. I suppose it's something to do with the conductivity of the surface. Thanks for sharing your experience.

@@Kmishelle: 430-450 is very hot. Are you using a heat protectant? They usually help silk presses last longer. So does pressing in smaller sections.
What’s your hair type and what’s the highest setting you go with titanium?
You have to be a pro to use titanium! I press my hair at 380 with one pass

Sorry to hear that. Technique is also important. Try to use the comb chase method and you will have flawless results.
Results please

I don't regret watching this video
Ceramic flatirons don’t straighten the same as titanium. I can use the ceramic and 450 but it won’t straighten as well ass titanium on 400.
I agree, I was sold on titanium years ago.

Exactly
This video was very informative and a good teaching tool. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Love the info… with moderation… anything is possible.
Glad you enjoyed it.
I heard titanium damages the hair? Do you agree?
Girl I'm scared of those face lifted cartoons 😂🤣 but good video
🤣
The eyes right? Just 👁👁 🤣

Thanks for the effort on informing sis. Any suggestions of heat protectors for 4c hair? Thanks in advance 🤍
This is the best video for everyone.
Thank you.
@2:17 the pronunciation is “ in con spic Que us”. No shade. Someone helped me so I’m passing it on. Good video content 👍🏽
Yes she actually re-recorded that bit but I used the wrong track in the final video. My fault!

Wow
°F or °C Which of them do you use?
Can anyone give specific brands that they use. This is helpful but I want a specific one to try for 4b-4c hair. Not just information I already know
The description has links for each
Amazing video. Thanks so much for all the much needed information!
Glad you enjoyed it!

What temp should I use on titanium for 4b regular porosity hair?
Great vid, but that face animation unnerves me 😭😅
Expectacular el vídeo, gracias
Thankyou for this video
Best video I've seen thank you
Wow, thanks!
Titanium
Good choice.
Very good video 👍🏾
Appreciate it
Thank you
You're welcome

Heat is the enemy lol
Why can't I add it to my playlist?
The owner of the video chose that as an option.
I felt your video was highly misleading!! This one reason why I don't care for influencers all you guys do is make statements to get views!
