How deep does the blowing pipe have to go into the borehole? Is the irrigation pump pumping water or air into the well? Tnx for the info!

Pumping water in the well… as deep as I can get the pipe down the well… started higher in the well and the water pressure moves the sediment and you get to the bottom of the well and most of sediment comes out of the well.

I think it's pretty obvious but I just want to be certain because I got to take this job on in the next few days. Are you using a secondary water source to pump into your well or are you using water from your well and pumping it back in?

    Tyler,
Did your well fill back in with sediment?

I sold the house couple years ago… I don’t think so because I know the people and haven’t heard anything bad about the well since I sold it… the well did sit still for a couple years and I bought the lot with a existing well… so I cleaned the well😉! I think if the well is used… 🤔 the sediment should enter the house and get caught in the filter that I installed on the house… I put a submersible pump in that well about 1 foot from the bottom… the well is like 30 feet deep ish!

lucy is just too too cute I just had a well pump that went bad after only 10 years and now have sediment and it destroyed a brand new whole house water filter that was just installed and well drillers pulled pump second day because it was dry first day . Second day already had 200 gallons of water and put in new pump but never checked wires to it and put thee ne pentair 1 hp pum[p down nd only got 2 ounces of water a minute , pulled pump out and found out it broke in half , changed out wiring and second pump worked . But they left my brand new 3 year old 40 gallon pressure tank full of sludge . I bypassed the filter for 2 weeks and kept turing off the hydrant near the well and taking aerators off my sinks and running it in my house . They also did not flush out the 3 year old hot water heater . Cost me over 4 thousand dollars so far and may be even more costs . The well was put in 2004 when modular house was put i . We retired to va when Ford closed the Plant in NJ The well is 400 feet deep

Oh boy! I guess more water and a bigger pump… sad it’s in your house system! I know large volume of water and low pressure sure moves a lot of dirt! Grand Canyon was kinda made that way… I know that the water is easy to pump when the well is full because you don’t draw the water up, above the surface of the water, if ya know what I mean. You’ll need a good water source too… your well would hold “probably more” than 500 gallons! And ya want to cycle that at least four times!
I’m just a farmer with a practical way to fix things… I hope it helps and good luck on your well fix!

@@T-Down-Approved I must have a good water source because well was dry and by the next moning I was already at 200 feet of water .Well bill i found and the well is 485 feet deep and I am high up on a hill . There is a crek 400 feet down from my house in the front aand over 600 feet down from my house in the back . I can't really judge the back since it is all wooded but I measure through the woods and then there is a huge drop off opf at least 200 or 300 feet . I just know it is to steep to go down and trees and brush do not look like they woud make it easy footing . I always have plenty of water in the house . But after new pump was put in I knew it was going to take time to clear . If the plumbers who had put the pump down would have listened to me to inspect the wiring the pump they put down would have no blown in half and messed up the water worse . The wiring changed and second pump worked
