I know this is such a strange time for those of you trying to find jobs, figure out where to live, etc. so I hope this is helpful in broadening your perspective or at the very least, entertaining to watch! I felt the same. I agree it's usually hard to find safe space especially on RUclips with content/discussion we can relate too. But Elena did a great job here. I'm inspired by her so started making content of my own especially for woman of color. Hopefully it can help other woman as well :)

Just search up videos, I reccomend econ major at a target college do spring weeks in you your 1st year and summer internships at hopefully a front office role If you cant get internships in a bank try consulting or other finance internships just get some experience and a 3.7 GPA plus

This was so so interesting and I LOVED seeing a female investment banker my age. I agree though, Linkedin and networking should be your best friend.
even though i have absolutely no plans to move to nyc or anywhere at the moment, this was oddly reassuring for me to hear going into my first year of university. especially the part about friendships. i feel like there’s so much pressure to jump into university and instantly meet your best friend or ‘your people’ and it can be so disheartening when you don’t but as you said building sincere friendships takes time and isn’t something to be rushed. if you ever decide to do a second part i’d love to hear more about your/your friends experience with university/college/work

thank you so much for this video elena ! i’ve just graduated and am applying to so many jobs trying to figure out what i want to do - it’s so eye opening to hear the perspectives of multiple women in working positions, i feel like for young women these types of role models are harder to seek out and access

Hi Elena! Not sure if it will make you happy to know this or not LOL, but, I am a 60 year old Mom and Grandmother. I found your channel one day by accident, stayed on i t and really enjoyed viewing NYC apartments in different areas of the city.. I love your channel, I always learn something from you. I should know more about NYC than I do I live in upstate New York and my daughter went to college in Queens at St. Johns University. You offer so much about this city an how people live. The diversity aspect is amazing.. I'm catching up with your older videos currently and watched this one today which I found very interesting. All four of you are incredibly smart. I loved hearing the viewpoints of todays "20 somethings". and how far the four of you have come at such a young age. You probably don't think so, but trust me, when I was your age, I was a party animal lol. RUclips may not last forever, but for now, you are kicking its ass. I really enjoyed this video. Although I’m way beyond in years it brought me back to when I was in my 20s with my girlfriends going through this type of situation and it made me smile. I think what you’re doing is great, and when I was in my 20s I wish we had this type of platform I am now 50 so although I am in a different place I still quite enjoyed watching.

I've met a lot of friends through things I like to do so I joined a gym that was very community based. I also meet people at dog parks and we have similar interests about our dogs. Dating online is totally normal and you should def just get on the apps! If anything you meet a new friend and get to experience some new restaurants in the city. Working has been so hard in the city because it's such a doggy dog world here. I feel everyone is so competitive and out to throw each other under the bus. New York is a place you will really grow and challenge yourself I highly recommend everyone to move here at least for a year.

I decided to move to New York recently with my fiancé and as two creatives (I work in film/advertisement and he's a musician) We live in the Caribbean and have great jobs here but I'm originally from NY and we've decided it's time to move on to new jobs. I've been super scared honestly, but it's really comforting to watch this video! thanks a lot and best wishes!
